I am regretting just buying the Ego One battery and not the whole kit because it is not making a good connection with the sub-tank nano. When the tank is screwed all the way down on it won't fire. I have the loosen it a little to find the sweet spot for it to fire. I have tried pushing the pin further out of the bottom of the tank and I used a deoxit gold and neither have helped. Any suggestions. Thanks.

you could try putting in a 510-to-510 adaptor on it and see if that helps connect the subtank to it. do you have any other clearomizer/tank/rda's? do those make connection or is it just the tank?? if its not the topper, than you might have to try to finde a longer 510--510 adaptor to make sure it connects to the ego one

Yes my other tanks are firing fine. The adapter is a good idea. I just hope it does not add too much height. I got this setup to be my stealth travel gear.

must be just off by a mm or so then.

could also get a 510-to-ego adaptor, then put a ego beauty ring on the threads so it looks more flush with a 22m device.

Same issue here, initially. Two diffetent manufacturers, neither product is 100% in spec with the standard 510 threading lenth and neither is spring loaded. Try this: screw the base without the coil into the battery, then install the coil. Then invert the battery/coil/base assembly and screw it into your filled tank. You may have to do this for a couple of weeks until the battery and tank base marry to each other better. I used to have to do this about every othet time I filled. Now everything works normally, the tank screws to the battery with minimal resistance and sits tight and flush, and it works and fires every time. Slightly different machining.... :/

I have to opposite problem where I cannot screw the Nano flush with the top of the ego ONE battery. Every time I try, it feels like something is going to break, and I am not willing to do that on purpose.

Thanks. I am going to try this before I get a an adapter. I really like the look of the the tank and battery together and I think an adapter would diminish that. It is just frustrating when I am out with only this set-up and I try to vape but it won't fire until I loosen and tighten the tank to just the right spot. I hope this works. Thanks again.

Forgot to mention that while you're doing this and basically making the threads of each device learn each others' configurations, you'll get a tiny amount of gray buildup on the threads. That's fine. Make sure to clean the threads of both with a cotton swab and alcohol. It's actually small metal filings from the friction. The same thing happens on a smaller scale with 510 threads that work properly. It'll be at a normal wear level after about 10 days or so. When you do't feel that friction anymore, the threads are good and just about any tank will work with the Ego One and the Subtank will work with just about battery. Just the TEENIEST amount of extra metal is causing these issues and the friction deals with it over time. The other poster above who can't get it to sit flush will have the same results by just screwing the tank in and out with normal use over a few weeks. Eventually, it will sit flush and the threads will work smooth as butter.

It's a pain, but, the profile of the setup is worth it to me. And once the breaking in process is done, it's done for good.

Why not just buy the ego 1 tank its only $13 on either MVS or VapeNW
In a word, craftsmanship. The Kanger tank is better built, easier to fill, easier to monitor juice levels with, and has better, thicker threading between the base and the tank. In my experience, the vapor has more flavor, too and the vape is a bit more consistent. That, and the tank holds about 40% more juice.

I also have this setup, mine works fine but there is a very tiny little gap between the two parts. It's barely noticeable so it doesn't really bother me that much. I've gotten a closer connection by screwing it in all the way or almost all the way and wiggling and pulling on the tank a little, not sure if it actually does anything but I thought it might have readjusted the recessed pin a little since I was able to screw it in further after that.

Non of that stuff has anything to do with why I suggested it, so whats your point? I suggested it because his ST and One arent working properlh together.

Sounds like another run of newer vapors not knowing snug from tight.

Cranking tanks down tight, grabbing and wiggling to get more turns! In China production threads, this = Much faster 510 threading wear/failure.
(the grey material another poster commented on:facepalm:)

Take your time. Try and resolve the problem without brute force. In the end it can keep you from tossing a mod before its time.
