I've got a relatively poor quality kayfun v4 clone that I purchased off of the auction site. I thought that the new features looked interesting, but I was also a little leery of all those moving parts and wanted to give it a shot on the cheap before shelling out significant cash. I scrubbed it well with dish soap before building because, like many others have reported, it had a decent amount of machine oil on it. Unfortunately, the first vape was still rife with the taste of machine oil. So, I'm back to tearing it down and I'm stuck. The parts were all very difficult to adjust right out of the box, but now I can't get the large chimney piece off of the deck/deck adjustment pieces. Not only can I not remove the chimney, but the juice control ring will not tun in either direction. I've tried everything obvious to me: holding the lower part with pipe pilers, running under hot water, etc; but no to avail. So here is my hail mary plea for help before I find out how far I can throw it.
