I am trying to put something together for new people that ask for information on what to buy and the pros and cons of each. I am sure to miss some things as far as the pros and cons go. So if I miss something please list the step. Also is it a pro or con? Then I will look at the relevance to see if it should be added to the list. Thanks in advance for the help.

WILL LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
For the new vaper. I have made a list that I call “The 5 Steps In vaping). This is for PVs and is a aimed to the ever asked question on what to buy. Its not for certain devices but rather what types of PVs we normally see in the market place today. What they do and where they shine. This will be very important for the folks that only want to try it, or that are on a budget. You can start on step one or skip steps as you see fit. For example: I started at step one then on to step 4. I am now on steps 4 and 5. I could have saved about $200 if I had just broke into step 4 from the start. Hope everyone can see this for what it is. Helpful.

1. Mini E-cig: This is what most people start out with. IMO its not the best way to kick the habit but if it works for you then great.

Plus:
Looks like a Analog.
Small; Easy to transport.
Still somewhat fit in with the smokers at break time.
Can refill.

Neg:
Battery life (About 3 hours)
Does not hold much liquid.
Low satisfaction for most people
Low vapor production.
Not expandable.

Can not adjust voltage.

2. Ego fixed V types

Plus:
Longer lasting battery then a Mini. (About 4 hours on up depending on MHA)

Still small; Easy to transport.
The wide world of accessories (For a few can be a neg).

Neg:
Battery life is still not the best.
Wide world of accessories (A plus form most people).
Many will out grow this type very fast.
Can not adjust voltage.

3. Big battery, fixed voltage.

Plus:
Longer battery life (About 6-8 hours)

Neg:
Weigh more and are bigger.
Can not adjust voltage.

4. Variable voltage/wattage

Plus:
Can now adjust the power going to the accessory for optimization.
Electronics become a lot more useful.

Negs:
Watch for amperage limits. Have to plan ahead more on that.
Some of them eat battery’s more then others.
Should do more research on this step then on any other step except for a Genesis APV.
Cost can go way up on this step.

5. Genesis APV

Plus:
No more buying expensive, accessories.
Higher resale value.
Good vapor production.

Neg:
Can be a real PITA to learn.
Hard to get.
Uses a lot of juice.
