In the interests of fairness :) :

I've never seen the inner seal without any wick slots - that's a new one on me.

I've never had a Fluxo leak, from either end, ever - that's one of the reasons I like them so much.

With a drip tip, I've never had any juice end up in my mouth with these, ever.

It's true that the thicker tubes do scrunch the wicks a tad more. It's equally true that the old tubes cracked on regular basis, so I'll take the thicker ones, thank you. Even with the thicker tubes, they wick just fine with a simple mod - at least for most folks.

They are emphatically not "crappy". I'd venture to say that most people would agree with me. I like them quite a bit, and they are still in my regular rotation, even with the advance of Visions and Stardusts.

So there. :p

this is the problem with the ce2s now, more advance, better design, nope, they are crappy now, I feel for you, i destroyed a number of the new ones as well, never had a problem with the older designs getting the plugs out, I try to get between the top of the ceramic cup and the rubber. But they will likely will leak if you take the cup out, even with the seal on top. The main problem is the new edition is slightly smaller tubes which is crunching everything up compounded with crappy black gaskets that at least 60% of the time don't have slots cut for the wicks. if you can get the inner plug out without tearing it (I don't have much luck with that) then you could cut the slots better and it should wick better.

pull out your ce2's and look at where the wick enters the rubber cup, on some you will probably see they have slots cut for the wick, some will be on both sides, some will be on one side and some will look like there is no slot, if there is no slot, you are almost guaranteed to get dry hits. nothing you can really do but remove the cup seal on those. I had one like that and I kept tipping it up and doing everything possible to avoid the dry hits. After i burnt my throat enough I yanked the seal out, so now i deal with it leaking if I tilt it the wrong way.

the metal ones didn't crack the tubes and worked much better than the new plastic ones. could be a bad batch, both boxes i got were right when they came out, but the cups definately don't have slots for the wicks like they should.

Well, perhaps the quality control got better with time. I never really tried the metal ones - the whole point for me is to be able to see the juice level, so I didn't bother.

I have a bunch of the older stainless steel ones, which I got from a different company. I use them for testing DIY juice. I like the Fluxos because I like seeing the juice level, and because I can take them apart. The white donut ring in the older ss ones is different than the newer fluxos. The center is tapered around the hole, and there is no rim around the outside edge to snap down over the cup when it's inverted.

yeah we decided to get away from the sss and solid, the new fluxo clears are strong and the tube is on tight and you can see your juice and there is smoke color to give it the solid look effect.

i know some ask for it and maybe in the future we will release an updated version in solids.

we do have a new version here, 2 types, no wires, i showed pics off a few weeks back.

Boy i was gonna get 1 or 2 of each to try em out but are they worth all the work?

It's really not a lot of work. The modding isn't something you do every time you fill. You just prepare them before the first filling. The explanations might seem complicated, but it really isn't. Most experienced Fluxo users can mod one in less than a minute.

I still fill with a syringe, even though Visions can be filled by dripping down the inside, and Fluxos can be too, once the cup seal is removed. I just prefer syringe filling.

The first experience I had trying to buy a syringe traumatized me. The pharmacist acted like I was a junkie and refused to sell me one, so I avoid anything involving them like the plague lol.
