So my wife bought me a new sigelei ZMAX for X-mas. She gave it to me early on X-Mas Eve. I was using it all of X-mas eve and all day yesterday. Around 6 PM I started having issues. It iis telling me Low Load or Low Volume and powering itself off. When I get it to turn back on it will allow me one hit and then power off. The batteries are fully charged. Anyone have any ideas? Did I mess up a setting on this thing? Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Recheck that the batteries are indeed charged and making proper contact... and that your atty hasn't blown since I think these have protection right?

Thanks for the replies all. You know i did have a leaky atomizer late in the day yesterday I cleaned the connections. I wonder if that is what caused it. I am actually using a coil tank now and still having the same issue. I think I will run to the store where she bought it. The owner there is great and hopefully we can get it working. Just sucks i am in the office and didnt bring anything but the new one and it isnt working right now....going through some withdrawals now =/
Wow, I didn't notice you were new! WELCOME TO ECF! One of the things we always, and all of us, recommend is a backup. You will need a backup for your backup also... but never leave home thinking one atty or one battery will live until you return! I never leave home without at least 2 or 3. I am one of those who have no problem smoking cigarettes even though I primarily vape now and have for 5 months. I would smoke one in a heartbeat if my PV was unable to work!

Yeah I usually bring spare everythings. I got lucky though as there are many people in the office that Vape and my buddy had a spare ego t battery that I can use.

I have a feeling it may be the battery spring similar to mine/
The smaller battery cap has a sliver spring in mine = not good as device would cut off
The larger cap has a gold color stiffer spring and it works just fine .
So i ordered some new springs called hot springs a stiffer spring for the smaller battery cap and will cut it if its to big to accommodate my efest imr batteries.

I have seen this when the batteries are getting low. Try 2 18350's and the larger cap. The unit comes with 2 18650's and are cheaper batteries that will work fine if you are not pushing a dual coil 3ohm. An 18650 is a 3.7V and do not perform as well as 2 3.7V stacked 18350's. 18650's work, but remember if you are generating more than 3.7V from a 3.7V battery it puts a load on it and drains it faster.
What batteries are you using? For this pv you need IMRs - AW, Efest or Panasonic are all good. Just added that as you didn't say. You shouldn't be getting a cut off unless the battery is low.
To start off welcome! haha this was going to be my next question! Are you using the thin battery cap? sometimes that one wont allow the battery to make a good connection. I had a buddy who just said his "wasn't working" then when he tried the bigger battery cap for the 18650 battery it was working good. Never asked him though what the "wasn't working" actually consisted of... Hopefully you can get it up and running soon! Not having my ecig drives me nuts.

I wanted to put my 2 cents in even though this is a solved issue and older post... just in case someone comes here through google or something with a battery issue with their zmax...
I have noticed a problem (well not really a problem) with both springs on my zmax. When i set the device down firmly it cuts out and resets because the spring is so weak it loses contact for a split second. The only thing this really does is reset the screen and causes you to have to turn it back on. A stronger spring and a quality battery might make all the difference!

THANK YOU! (Yes I realize it's an old post, but seriously thank you.) Bought a zmax about three days ago and have been going crazy, thought I was charging the batteries wrong or something. The batteries were dying very quickly and while edmcc's vaped fine, the kanger pro tank said "low load" half the times I used it. Switched to the thicker battery cover and bam! it vapes like a champ. Hopefully this fixes my battery life issue as well. *HUGS*
