it's all just confusing.

i know when the regular batteries with the led lights that tell you to charge them.

but with mods using a cr2 and no led light. how can you tell if it is dying, from flooded atty, from not enough liquid. and in the time to fiddle with all the options are you risking of
using the non protected battery to the point of exploding on you?

and are brands like non rechargeable duracells safer/protected?

if it's all a guessing game how long does a set of duracell cr2's lasting before you have to
chuck em?

thanks

My experience with CR2's is that you will notice a reduced amount of vapor long before the battery would be discharged enough to ever expode. When you notice this drop off change batteries or juice in your mouth change battys!

Probably even better to find a mod that will use 2-CRC123A Protected LIFE04 Batteries to be even safer. Tenergy makes then and I got some at Batteryjunction.
2 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh Rechargeable LiFePO4 Li-Ion Batteries with AC/DC Smart Charger
these are larger than the CR2's and cant be used in the place of CR2's in your mod unless your mod can handle a 16340 battrey.

AW battery makes some that have a special vent in them. They cost a little more but well worth the cost to not have an explosion. IMO You can do a search for AW batteries to find the links and how to buy them. I know he makes a 14500 battery and the CRC123A with venting safety.

Hope this helps you..

Don't know anything about rechargeables.

The Super-T1 takes one 16340 3.6/3.7 volt battery in sleeveless mode and two Cr2 (aka 15270)3.0 volt batteries in 6v sleeved mode. CR123A's are the same size as 16340's and are 3.0 volts but are too big to fit in the sleeve, thus will not work in 6v mode in the T1.

Cr2's are about 15mm wide whereas Cr123a's or 16340's are over 16mm wide.

Can DealExtreme: $15.36 UltraFire Protected 18650 3.7V 3000mAh Lithium Batteries (2-Pack) be used with the sleeve in order to not have to think about batteries for a few days at a time? Can't find dimensions but they look to be quite long.

The problem with 18650s and the sleeve is the width. The battery numbers are also the dimensions so an 18650 is 18 mm wide and to big for the SuperT which with the sleeve can handle 15mm widths and without can handle 16mm (the clearances are really really tight.).

well look at this. if you read the specs they say you get 2 batteries, if true that makes it
less than a buck each.

is this the same. i don't see anywhere else that equates 123a with cr2

SANYO CR2 / 123A Lithium Battery 3V Battery, Lithium Battery, SANYO CR2 / 123A Lithium Battery - DinoDirect.com

never mind. another description on the same page says it's only 1 batt. but at 1.79 it's the cheapest around.
except for rechargeables of course.

these batteries came in today and indeed they are cr2 batteries. not bad when you need some in a pinch. (though it did take 7-10 days) on the other hand the rechargeable's i ordered are still taking the slow route from china (dealextreme). when ordering from them you have to stock up cause the wait is loooooooooooooong.

another thing with dinodirect. they included two coupons 5bucks off orders over 15 and 10bucks off orders over 30 for future orders. that just may make me stock up on some more for emergency backups.
