Hello everyone, I was hoping to get some input on exploring sub ohm market. I having trouble deciding what to buy.I currently using an istick 30w with a nautilus mini tank for my every day vaporizer. But..... I am split between the ego one and the kanger sub tank mini for my next venture. What would be the better investment? I like the ego because its small, I would have a second battery besides my istick, and it appears that I can use the ego tank on my istick. On the other hand, the sub tank comes with the both the pre made coil and a rebuildable coil???? I think? And I could possible use the sub tank on a mod in the future. Im confused. I need guidance.

I have the Subtank mini and have really been enjoying it with the stock coils...havent used the RBA as of yet, but will once i get through the 5 pack of stock coils I had also purchased.

The fullsized subtank, required modification (parts included) to convert it to using the RBA, whereas the mini does not require any modifications

I only use my subtank with the rba section single coil 1.8 ohms chucks out flavour and vapour like a kitchen joy of regulated mods don't need sub ohm to get a great vape. Rba section on the subtank is very easy to build on if you've ever done a kayfun type you'll be right at home takes me less then five minutes to strip down, recoil, rewick and fill doesn't get much better then that :).

Watch some reviews and decide which one better suits you :). We are all different and enjoy different vapes. They both look nice, and I wish things like this had been around a year ago when I first got started. I bet I would have been off the cigs sooner.

In fact today is my one year anniversary of getting started, but it took me til May 5 to totally kick the butts.

So what are you gonna do to reward yourself for your vapeaversary?

Oh, I've been bad this week...two new mods and two new RTAs. It was supposed to be one new mod only, but then one of my mods set on fire last weekend so I had to replace that. And the two attys were spontaneous purchases, but both were cheap at least.

For my May 5 true vapeversary, it will be something expensive, but I'm not sure what yet. A Yihi sx mini M class or a high end atty.

I have to give it to the Sub-Tank. Atlantis comes last due to it's coils being a pain in the ... to rebuild. Whereas the Kanger coils are simpler to rebuild if you want to go that route also. I got 2 Sub-Tanks. I like the way they look, I like the way they feel, and I like the way they hit. Granted, it's a bit airy from time to time, but the performance and flavor I get out of them is pretty good and when I say "pretty good" I mean it's no Kayfun or RDA, but it's good.

Note - I'm using the 25mm Sub-Tank with the RBA second installed - 6 wrap - 24AWG wire - 1/8th Drill Bit - Rayon wick - .65Ohms - on the Mutant Mech Mod.

Why not get a iStick 50w instead of an Ego One? The ego is slightly shorter than the istick you already have, but the formfactor of the iStick 30w is better IMO. You can relegate your 30w to backup/"for use when charging the 50w" duty and effectively double the use time you'd get from the ego one. Hell get a Lemo or a Melo with the 50w and call it a day :)

I swore up and down last summer that I wasn't going to go sub-ohm.... Weeeeeeeeellllllll, smack me silly and call me a liar!

I picked up a couple of Atomic RDAs and in January the Subtank Nanos. I like the tank size of the Nanos (about the same as my PT2s) I've learned to rebuild the OCC heads, so I don't have to have the rebuildable deck of the Subtank Mini. I suppose I'll find a Mini one of these days, just to add to my collection :D

So, I'm getting my subohm on. But, I'm still finding that a 1-1.2ohm coil in the OCC is pretty wonderful. Don't need crazy watts, and I still get amazing flavor and vapor (higher VG in my DIY juices now.) I don't play with the Atomics very often - I'm too lazy to continuously be dripping, but they are fun :)

Watch reviews, get good at rebuilding - have at it :)

Between the 2 definitely the kanger. I still use my Nautilus Mini daily. The Kanger subtank using the sub ohm coil will be a huge difference in flavor. Today I tried the 1.2 ohm and it's good but I prefer the mini. The RTA function is nice but I liked the flavor, ease, of use, and constant flavor of the coil. The Kanger provides a warm vape good, good size clouds, and doesn't linger as long as the Aspire mini or Atlantis. Might consider the Atlantis too. Flavors are pretty close. What I don't like on the Kanger is the hole the liquid comes in the coil is pretty high. Meaning you can have juice left in the tank but not going in the coil. The Atlantis gets more exposure and can vape every bit of liquid in the tank. The Atlantis in my opinion does slightly use more juice than the subtank. If price is a big issue and you want the Kanger subtank get the Nano but it doesn't have an RTA. I use the mini which has a single coil RTA, the Subtank is a dual RTA. The Kanger does have tighter draw.
