The one coil does look like it's possibly getting hotter than the other. See the darker area on the wick. Honestly I would pull it out, learn how to do it yourself and that is it. Like I told you in the pms, this is exactly how I started, isn't it RN? Tell her...lol I wound up sending my kayfun to roxynoodle to play with I was so intimidated at first.

Yep! And I didn't know whiat to do either. I took it apart to see how it worked, lol! Figured out it was the kayfun Lite Plus. Found a video, built a coil and wicked. And was all thrilled it worked :). And then went rba crazy.

I just got one of these also, it's definitely newbie friendly. I'm not new to rba's but the one piece chimney and deck configuration on this one make it more difficult than a kayfun. Chances are you scorched the wicks a bit and that's why it's still tasting burnt. Like they said, get some cotton(cotton balls are fine, q-tip cotton works in a pinch). Re-wick it and try again. Once you've used it for awhile you'll start tasting a difference when you start to get a dry hit. If you start getting dry hits and don't want to re-wick it right away, you can cover the air holes and draw lightly on it to pull some juice into the chamber, too much and you'll flood though so lightly. Once cotton is burnt, it will continue to taste burnt.

Okay, HOW did I scorch the wicks? I need to know so I don't do it again! :)

It will be a bit of trial and error, but you'll get there soon :)

I made the mistake of filling mine completely, with a thicker juice and it's not wicking well right now either. I'm too lazy to empty it and re-wick right now so I've "adjusted" the airflow a bit with some tape, seems to be keeping up better now. Since this has no afc, I'll have to figure out the right balance of resistance and wicking to match the airflow and juice, but that's part of the fun!

Exactly that, I bet. I'm used to pulling way too long and hard. Dang it, I am at fault and not the B&M!

Do you know what your coil resistance is? You don't have to use it on the lancelot, you can use it on the vamo and adjust the vamo instead of having to build a coil to suit the lancelot;

It's easier if you start building on a regulated mod first; like riding a tricycle first before jumping on a bike.

Look what I found when I took the wicking out this morning. GROSS!!! Cleaned it all out well, dry burned, wicked it again (I DID IT ON MY OWN! WOOT), put it back together, and .... HEAVEN!
