Help with throat hit

I started vaping about 2 weeks ago. Been off cigarettes completely a week now. I am, at this point, hooked on vaping, and regular cigarettes are nasty to me now. I smoked Camel Crush Bold. I am now using Cool Mint Menthol Tobacco by Viking Vapors. I love the taste and first few days I got a great throat hit. Im having terrible trouble with tanks. Started with ce4 and ce5 they clogged and wouldnt work after a few hours. Switched to evod, and after a few hours all I can taste is metallic air. Got a T3S and by far its the best, put about 6 half tanks (couldn't go under 1.2ml) through over 2 days and all I could taste is burnt. Cleaned it out and let it dry, worked good a few hours buf if I vape sooner than a few minutes between hits its burnt taste again. I was using the ego generic battery. Now I ordered a Vision Spinner with a brand new mini prorank 3 but same burnt taste when trying to hit after a minute between. Im hardly getting a throat hit at all. Can you maybe reccomend a tank for me that I will not get the gurgling and metallic air taste that goes with it or burning tastes? My liquid is 70/30 30mg nic and this time even got 36mg nic but it seems to be adding to the burnt taste. Sorry for the run on. Wanted to provide as much info as I could. Im too invested to turn back to cigarettes now!!

Might I suggest a Itaste VV with a Kangertech Aerotank Mini? I just got one and I have say it is giving me a nice throat hit. I had to adjust the airflow adjuster a bit but I am able to get a pretty decent one. I am just switching over myself so I understand the need for a good throat hit. For coils i am using Kangertech duel coils.

Both the Nautilus and the Aerotank are good choices. You said your juice was 70/30. Is the 70 VG or PG? From what you are describing you have a slow juice feed problem and maybe an issue with juices burning on the coil. 70pg/30vg will give you lots of TH and better flavor with good vapor production. The secret to flavor and vapor is an atomizer that can feed juice rapidly enough to keep up with voltages that will also produce good flavor. Too low in voltage and you get clogging and bitter taste. Turning it up a bit in voltage can make the flavor and vapor blossom IF your atomizer can feed the juice fast enough to keep up.

On the Nautilus make sure you get BVC atomizers. The two that come with it are good, but they may be the old dual coils and probably won't compare to the BVC (bottom vertical coil) atomizers that you can buy as spares.

Clear juices are easier on atomizers. Dark juices tend to clog them faster. High VG is more likely to clog than high PG. PG will also give you throat hit where high VG can be almost no throat hit.

If you like throat hit and authentic cigarette taste, try some Halo Torque56. It comes in a sample pack containing 6-6ml bottles for about $24.95. Tribecca is another Halo favorite here on ECF and it's in the sample pack. Or, you can buy them both separately in larger bottles and skip the sample pack.

Madvapes Tobacco is an aromatic tobacco flavor with lots of body and throat hit. I'm vaping Madvapes Tobacco in my Kayfun right now. I mix it half and half with Madvapes Mad Tobacco (sweeter and milder) to control the throat hit and knock it down a notch or two. The flavor, IMO, is outstanding for a good aromatic tobacco flavor and it's one of my daily vapes.

Very informative. Now I know what to get and not to get. lol. I don't want stuff that is only to cause my atomizers to become clogged.

to ecf DawgGoneIt . Love the screen name. :) I make my own menthol with crystals and Everclear (PGA Pure Grain Alcohol). If I have a juice that is not giving me enough throat hit......I add a drop of Everclear or Peach flavored Vodka to the atomizer or my 6ml juice bottle on the reo I use. I think it helps with it. Good luck to you and continued success.

Agree 100% on both points. One of the great things about the Nautilus (and Aerotank, I understand; just haven't used one) is the ability to adjust the airflow to suit the liquid. The throat hit on the Nautilus is as good (if not better) than anything else I've used.

I love being able to adjust the airflow on my aerotank mini. The less airflow the stronger the throat hit for me. But I don't like having it set too low. I keep mine at about the halfway setting and it is perfect for me. At least with this peppermint juice I got right now.

Believe it or not this mini protank 3 works better on my ego than the spinner. Didnt think that would be. Used this spinner about an hour anx boxed it back up. Dont really like it. Its burning all my liquids on any voltage.

That sucks. I am finding this going well on my itaste vv. I don't got the voltage set as high as i could go with my coils and stuff but i prefer a cooler vape anyways. lol. Plus I am not ready to start experimenting with it yet.

Knew I should have got the aerotank instead of the protank. Guess I need to keep looking for a similar juice or figure a way to dilute it with a lighter liquid. I seem like im picky about my liquid, and I am thinking more and more I will have to branch out and start mixing. It just seems like this last bottle is burning way too much. I shoukd at least be able to take a few hits back to back on this protank without burnt taste. Higher nic maybe doing this?

Don't kick yourself. I could see myself having done the same thing if someone hadn't sent me my current setup. I got very lucky.

You can get an add on air adjustment thingy for your protank. You should also try different flavors. I like higher PG for a lot of reasons but some flavors seem to give a much more satisfying feel. For example, I bought a rootbeer flavor a while back and didn't like 'cause it just tasted like licorice but it ended up growing on me because it's a much more obvious feel than some other juices with the same listed PG/VG ratio. Sour juices seem to do this for me, too. I don't really do the creamy thing but I've heard the same thing about those flavors. It may be mostly psychological but, hey, whatever works. . .
