help with VGO battery

hey o!

I have a VGO set that I got as a gift, so I'm not sure where it came from.. My problem is, one of the batteries has stopped charging. It just sits on the charger and never turns green. It doesn't charge either, so it's not a 'light color' thing.

Any ideas..? I'm LOVING this thing.. works great with my drip tip, and I'm down to one!

Did you try a different charger? If you're using your computer USB did you try a wall one?

Leanne, is this the jsb vgo with the cz button and beautiful design? If so, are you using its dedicated charger or an ego charger? Those can't be used with ego chargers.

this is a wall charger 2 piece unit (the usb part plugs into a wall adapter)

The other batt that came with the set-up, charges fine. It's not old enough to have died already, so I'm not sure what's up.

I checked the box, and it doesn't have a maker name.. neither does the brouchure.
It just says "Houston, we solved the problem" on the back

I'm sure you cleaned contacts, etc. It just might be defective. That just happened to me with my TW pink ego auto 1000mah. It just died. Luckily it was still under warranty and TW replaced it. I wish you knew who gave it to you because it might be covered.

I do know who gave it to me.. but I cant say anything Just not comfortable with that. I'll wait and see if anyone has any 'secret battery fixing ideas' and try a little hoodoo fixits.

If you look straight in where atty goes you will see a center contact. This contact kinda floats in a rubber seal. Sometimes it gets pushed in too far to contact charger. Try wiggling it up - evenly all around. I use a safety pin - just don't get crazy and pull it right out.

Did you run a LR atty or carto on it? Sometimes the mosfit in those batts will just go out completely with LR anything on it. If that's the case, nothing can be done.

ok.. this i definitely need help on. sometimes i think i squish my ego ones down while cleaning. all i see is a big knob. is that what you mean? this thing is movable?? can I use tweezers?

Yes there is a round piece dead center with a tiny rubber ring around it - this is what contacts the atty - just wiggle it up a bit - tweezers work if you have them. If its up a tad too far screwing it into charger will push it back where it belongs.

I need my glasses for this.. I can't see any rubber ring.. But just to be sure.. the thing in the middle that looks about the same size as the push button? That's what I wiggle up?

yes that's it. you usually can't see the ring but it's there.
