you can take the entire thing apart...run through some warm water and then refill...thats something you should try though only if the following doesnt work

take the nova off your pv...grab a paper towel...now, blow through your drip tip there right through the nova...a small amount of liquid will appear on your paper towel...dont keep blowing...1-2 quick bursts ought to do it

dry the battery threading..and q-tip out any fluid in the battery connection

then re-connect, it should be right as rain

gurgling is almost always a sign of juice in the center tube

sorry if you know all this already, based on post count and join date you appear to be a newb...

I would just rinse it out with warm water, blow it out from both ends and let it air dry. Just make sure to blow it out really good. Good Luck.

that's what i do when it isn't a freshly loaded tank....the post above yours is what i do when i have accidentally overfilled (oops)
i q-tip the silicone cover of the coil head every time i fill now just in case (even if it does nothing LOL) because sucking juice is gawd awful!

Okay. Well, another issue here. It seems when I blew out the parts, I actually somehow was getting a few drips out of the bottom threaded tip that goes on the battery. Is this bad? Or just because liquid went down the center hole, which definitely happened.
Thanks
Dave

it went down the center post...just q-tip the battery head
