I got into vaping about a month ago hoping it would replace my two pack a day analog habit. I bought the Efox 510 kit and it seemed to really be working for about two weeks. Now I'm back to analogs. I guess it's because it just doesn't produce a good hit like a normal cigarette. Is there and ecig out there that you think would work better and hopefully help me make the switch ?
Thanks

Would agree with the Riva as a starter - using Low Resistance cartomisers for convenience.

The relative strength of the juice also makes a difference - i use 18ish mg as a daily vape, but spmetimes when i need a 'hit' will use 20-24ish mg - just drip a few drops in when an extra kick is required.

Look for juice suppliers that do 3 or 5ml samplers in different strengths at a good price such as Paradise Vapes.

Happy vaping

Pingman - what juice are you vaping, including mg?

The thing about a Riva or eGo is the batteries last longer, not necessarily a better vape. You may want to try a LR atty - but they tend to die faster and will kill a regular 510 batt (thus the riva or eGo is needed). Higher PG ratio tends to give more of a throat hit.

Pingman, the throat hit you're looking for is produced mostly by two factors, the % of PG and the strength of nicotine in the juice your're using. More PG and more nicotine = more throat hit.

You said you were a 2 pad smoker, is that regular strength or lights, and are you "smoke 'em to the filter" or burning incense in the ash tray? How you smoke and what you smoke would have an effect on what you might want in juice strength.

I bought some Johnson creek arctic menthol 24 mg and totally wicked menthol 36 mg. I liked the Johnson creek better, the totally wicked brand made my head spin ! The cigarettes I smoke are menthol light.

That's good progress, it's your body telling you it wants something in the 24mg range, maybe 28-30mg when the cravings get bad, just for a quick hit, not a steady vape. Hang on the the 36mg, for possibly that first cig in the morning, couple, few vapes of 36mg may be just the thing to start the morning, then 24mg all day.

You can adjust the menthol hit, the cool feeling in the back of your throat with some straight menthol flavoring. Some vendors have straight menthol crystals or the easier, menthol crystals already dissolved in PG or PGA. A few drops (it's very strong) will increase the menthol hit in any juice.
I was never a menthol smoker and didn't play one on TV, :) but I've found I like the throat hit of the straight up menthol.
