help !

hi ok so i started vaping yesterday i was super excited i smoked a pack a day of l&m's and i got the evod by kangertech it came with 2 pens and i got 18 mig i think and apple pie flavoring but my issue is it burns my throat really bad and it makes sizzling sounds and leaks sometimes. i saw this thing on youtube and on the coil their is originally 1 clear round piece their and they said to take another and put it on top overlapping that one which at first their was no burning and know its still a little rough and still makes sizzling sounds and know if you hold it tip down it leakes even more! please help me thanks!

Welcome to ECF. First off, the sizzling is normal. To clear out the tank of excess juice from the mouth piece take it off the battery and blow into it holding a paper towel underneath. After that try taking long, slow hits into your mouth and then inhale when done.

You can skip the extra silicone washer too.

2. I'm not surprised it burns your throat. You missed out the cig-a-like phase where you get used to vaping and learn to inhale differently.

3. It'll make you thirsty, next!

Sizzling - This is not an abnormal sound from your evod.
Leaking - Remove the base from the tank and verify that the atomizer head is installed securely (hand tight). If it still leaks replace the atomizer head.
Burns my throat - This could be due to flooding and your leaking problem.
Flooding - A common problem with evod tanks is allowing juice to enter the center tube during filling. This results in too much juice reaching the atomizer head and quenching the heating coil inside the head. To clear a flooded condition, wrap the tank with a paper towel and with the base pointed down give two or three strong breaths through the drip tip. This should result in the excess juice being ejected from the atomizer head. Wipe off the juice from the tank base and reinstall on your battery.

Your evod relys on a vacuum to pull juice to the wicks. If you lay it down your breaking that vacuum and have to recreate it by taking a couple primer puffs before applying power. The less juice you have in the atty the harder it is to regain the vacuum back. I can see you getting a sore throat from taking a cig like puff and inhale a dry wick. Do what it takes not to lay it down, in a glass or drill a hole into a chunk of 2x4. Look in youtube for a wealth of information of how to make your evod experience better with simple DIY fixes. If it helps you search protank heads cause they are virtually the same.

About the tank, first day I started I had a kanger t2. A good friend of mine told me, if I really wanted to stay away from analogues to buy a nautilus mini, and so I did. Next morning I was puffing from the nautilus and since then I never had the need to search for other tank, dispite him try to convince me to upgrade to a kayfun .

When i started (evod) it also hurt my throat a lot, much unlike the cigarettes i was used to. FOR ME, it was the nic level, and the PG. Now, i shoot for a lower nic level and a higher VG percentage.
