Two weeks ago I offered a very good friend of mine an "offer he could not refuse". This was in hopes to accomplish two things. One - get him to quit smoking (especially since he just had a baby), and two to spread the knowledge of Ecigarettes.

I told him - "I will buy you a "beginner" ecig kit - a battery, a clearomizer, any flavor juice of your choosing, and samples of all of my e -juices for free. Under the condition you eventually transition from analogs to E's. If you do not enjoy the ecig - still no cost to you, just mail me everything(He loves four states away), I will take it and I will be happy to use it."

Well I will not be getting that battery. He enjoys the Ecig more then analogs and plans on diving deeper in this world.

Just a thought....

According to the CDC in 2009 - there were 43.8 million people who smoked cigarettes in the USA( CDC - Fact Sheet - Fast Facts - Smoking & Tobacco Use).

If every person on this fourm - bought one basic kit for an analog smoking friend, family member - give that friend the "you have nothing to loose" offer - not only are you making just one more person healthy, but also spread e cigarette awareness.

Too utopian?

Amazing idea...I have taken some parts in giving away a Blu kit. I know some people really trash the Blu on this site, but it worked for me to actually get me off cigarettes. I had an ego about a year and a half ago but for some reason I went back to smoking. It took me using a cig-alike for about a month before I got over the feeling of holding a cigarette. Now you can't catch me without my Vamo or Zmax in my hand. Spread the word and vape on!

I agree that you can't make someone quit, but you sure can show them a viable alternative. Awesome post Magnetar and an awesome sentiment.

I've recently encouraged a co-worker of mine to start vaping, offering advice on equipment and giving him free juice so he can get started. He tells me he got his wife into it too which just tickles me.

I agree. It's interesting how you end up wanting to spread the word when you've got off the stinkies yourself. I'm terrible for it and worry about coming across all evangelical about vaping but I think it's a good thing if you can get even one other off the smokes and into a less damaging alternative. Good idea buying the kit and giving someone a no-cost option to start :)
