It is great to see more suppliers helping out here. I know a few more that have helped me in the past when I collected for soldiers in Afghanistan (like Randy with RTS) that I will contact and link to this thread. I started to do that in the beginning but it looked like there were tons of stuff already being sent so I thought it best to wait for the smoke to clear and see what they actually ended up needing.

Hey I got an idea. Why don't you write to a bunch of vendors, and see if they'll either donate some DIY stuff and cheap batteries to your cause, or sell it to you at a very low price. To be honest, these vendors get their mixing products whole sale for pretty cheap. It wouldn't hurt their bottom line all that much. I'm not saying they would, but it never hurts to ask!

And if you can manage this, you could come to them every few days, refill and recharge their equipment for them. Or they could recharge themselves if they have access to an outlet.

pretty much addressed this in the beginning.. thanks tho. i am in camps on and off all week and see most of these folks on tuesday or thurdays at Matthews Hope

i teach them to fill cartos.. leave them with 6 carts and 20 ML of juice, two flavs.. will adjust as i see what is working.. im figuring 15 ML a week per.. we all know we spill, we clog, we like to swiitch it up..so i want to treat these folks like i want to be treated.. we will see what works..

do the math.. 20 people at 10-15 ml a week.. plus loss, spillage, bugs, mites, spiders, fire ants, theft, drunkeness, old age, gators, racoon, bears, rain, heat, mental illness, anger, rage, PTSD, .... .....

i see hundreds of folks that sleep outside every week.. i am working on 4 at this time..
kerc, grizzly, mr jones, mr green, and now miss corey..

20 is the goal for the first 2-3 months.. i just had a young woman (19 i think) that is pregnant and outside. she is an opiate addict that has 39 hours clean..

she just asked to learn how to vape to stop smoking so i am bumping her to front and will give her my ego 1000 pass thru and a clearomizer with a few carts and juice.. (pregnant woman get first dibs and my own batts if they need it.. i can wait for the slow boat from china..LOL)

i am not opposed to shaky shaky.. just looking to speed things up.. i really cant become a juice vender/ecig store. my first priority is being a shepherd. i often look for easiest ways to do something in ministry. cheapest ways to do whatever, that frees up resources to do more..

ok back to the big kitchen.. i have 12 big hams in smoker/grill 150 baked potato's and three "older" woman that want everything done their way..

OT: my son is sleeping in a "Box City" tonight to raise money for the homeless shelter. Its a project sponsored by the university. The kids get together by department, build a box "shelter" to sleep in for the night to raise awarness and money. The homeless rate in our area has gone up tremendously due to the economy and flooding. (We had two major floods a few years back that wiped out some lower income housing.)

Please tell them tomorrow when my baby is home safely. I promise to laugh then, I'll even snort coffee if it's funny enough. But I worry compulsively about my 5'10", 20 year old, wrestler, college student, baby-man son. (There are tons of cops posted tonight, so I think they'll spoil the fun and it's cold tonight)

Thats not wrong. It is not at all unusual for folks to need the higher nic when they first quit smoking and start vaping. I completely understand it.

there is one place that serves 6 days a week. if ya miss ya might not eat. if for some reason they ban you for 48 hours u go hungry.. sundays they all close..

most have food stamps.. 200 bucks a month but without a fridge you are limited to what u can buy.. we give them 5 gal home depot tubs with locking lids (painters buckets) so the racoons dont get it as well as bugs..

i seal a meal sandwhiches when i can and do three meals on tuedays, one on thursdays..

now ya know why they fly a sign to eat..

Yes and next time I see a person with one of those signs, I will look at it differently.
I am ashamed to say that I have passed people like that on the road and have been afraid to stop and help Of course, in this day and age it is also scary to stop for them. My oldest sister usually goes and buys a meal and brings it back to them. My middle sister has actually helped too.
She and her husband are team truck drivers and they run across hungry people all of the time.

If I have something in my pocket, I give when I see people with signs asking for help. You only have to crack your window or make eye contact and they know you want to help. I watch those around me look everywhere but at the person begging. I think it is because they are ashamed to not help. I am not talking about a sole driver with no one else around but dozens of cars in the mid-afternoon. Yes, I guess a few could be professional beggars, but you never know if one may be an angel in disguise..... I know if I were down on my luck that it would be very, very hard to make myself go out on the street and beg unless I were absolutely desperate. Desperate.....sigh, I hate it that so many are desperate just for food.

Brother Frankie, do you have an emergency fund that you keep for such times as when people need to be supplied with food or does the shelter refund monies you spend?

I try to keep non perishable foods in the car with me - protein bars, pouches of tuna, peanut butter, bottles of water and sometimes bread so that I can give them something without giving them money.

There used to be a guy that begged on a busy corner near my condo with his dog. I talked to the local gas station & convenience store clerks and found out that he always went in and bought dog food before he would buy food for himself - after I found out about that, I would bring him bags of dog food, too. He was a nice guy, his dog was sweet, and it was something small that I could do easily to help him (and the pup).

On the flip side, I a run in with a man pan handling outside of a Walgreens with a sign that said "hungry, please help" (or something along those lines), but when I offered him food (individually wrapped muffins, bread & jar of peanut butter), he became irate, and threw an absolute fit while running towards me. It was broad daylight, but still scared the crap out of me.

I still offer when i have something in the car with me, but now I won't do it unless I'm safely in my car.

If you don't want nic levels below 30 it will take me an extra week to ship this to you, as I don't sell anything above 24. I'll get some concentrate and jack it up. Expect however, a slight delay. (Not this week now. Next week.) Glad you said something before I shipped.
