Hey There Fellow Vet's,

I am quite new here just only a few months of vaping . I would like to ask you opinion about this 2 PV kits that I have in mind to buy. They are The Legacy and The Silver Bullet. It seems after watching reviews about the two I found that they are abit similar but different in many ways. Infact both Kit's caught my eye but now I am abit confused. Considering the maintainence/usage/price/vapour/power production which is better?...Hope you guys can help me out! :D..Do hit me with useful tips or anything that can help me out guys!

Sincerely,
Kaz

This has been sitting for a few days now, and while I do not own either, I have used a SB. I approached this perhaps as you are, looking at reviews. that said, the SB has been a tried and true 3.7V 18650 mod for almost two years now, and I don't know anyone that has one that doesn't love it. The ones I have used were built like tanks: heavy metal tube, wide threading, which is less likely to cross thread if you are impatient about screwing it closed, and a solid recessed side button switch. For a first 18650 mod, its easy to use and assemble (2 piece, that's it), and they evidently last forever.

The Legacy doesn't have a lot of time on the market yet to say a lot about, but I personally would not go for it just yet. I do not like the bottom button, they just do not feel right to me. One reviewer had to really fiddle around with the extra parts to get his to work with his battery. Another vet can correct me, but I've not heard of this being a problem with the SB (its related to the flatness of the + nipple on the battery not making good contact...other 18650 mods I've had do this too, and you learn what batteries will work).

The Legacy does look sleeker, but it probably is as heavy as the SB. Both are probably better for home use, rather than out and about pocket use. I personally never get a PV that is brand new onto the market, even if it is from a reputable company. I prefer to see what others think or if there are bugs (common), and then wait if there is an improvement. Pure smoker has been around a long time and has a good following, but I think more own SBs than PS models. And there seems to be less to go wrong on the SB.

So my vote would go to the Silver Bullet. With either, if you want to go very low resistance, it is best to use a battery with good drain, if not high drain. Anything around 2 ohms or more should be just fine on either.

I've owned a handful of puresmoker mods... and they are always top notch... I suspect it's a tad more luxurious... PS stands behind their product... they were one of the fisrt or the first to do a big battery mod... (prodigy) - they know whatthey are doing... I wouldn't let the newness freak you out...

...but like Kurt said... the SB is one of the most loved and popular mods... it's likely a bit less $. How could you go wrong with an SB? You really can't go wrong with an SB.

I said I have "owned" a handful of puresmoker mods... I have "owned" many different mods...

It took me a while to figure out what I wanted most in a mod. It took me two years to figure out I wanted: 5 volts. Something relatively safe... well made etc... something lightweight and something with decent battery life + good hand feng shui... that narrows down my search quite a bit...

Both mods you are looking at are big battery mods... they'll be heavy... solid... flashlight handles... probably the most popular design in mods...

I suppose another plus is that when you decide you want to try Variable voltage in... um... about.... 3 more weeks ;-) you can pop a "kick" in either.

Watch a couple youtube reviews if you get a chance...
