You made the wick Zip ?
Im still waiting for these to become available even with my 8 sheets of 12x12 500 American made mesh !
Got to try them wick either way !

Yes. They are fairly easy to make if ya have the tools. I must warn anyone trying to do this. These are EXTREMLY fragile. Making the wicks is cakewalk. Setting them up, is a whole other story. In encourage anyone wishing to do this to read Scubabatdans thread.

I have broken a half a dozen just getting them coiled, but then again I have big sausages for fingers. What is working for me is this: 1. Drill the wick hole out to 1/8" 2. Screw your Kanthal down on the negative screw.3. Insert a 7/64" drill bit into the wick hole 4. Wrap your Kanthal around the drill bit 5. Snug up the positive lead but leave it a little loose so it can "expand" around the wick 6. Slowly "twist" your Ceramic stone into the coil, then finish clamping down the positive post.

A single air stone at a little over $3 will yield 8-9 ceramic wicks.

I also have a little thread going here as well:(excuse the shameless plug)..

These are being sold for 11.99 for three. Yes, I said (3)..I have broken a half a dozen just getting them coiled, but then again I have big sausages for fingers. What is working for me is this: 1. I 'm familar with them brittle stones i used them a lot when i had a 55g aquarium for 18 years.
If i was not so lazy these days i would get out the ole dremel and or the stone wheel and fashion some at 1/8th for my DID's but i figure i just wait and buy a set of 3 to see what there about.

Here Zip i took some pics for the pipe thread here on ecf few years back but i carved these out with a dremel good while before i had a digital camera back in my pipe smoking days.
Don't mean to go off topic.

The shaving brush with silver tip badger hair(expensive) i still use today the old fashion way and the wood is actually the root from the heath tree grown in the Med and what the expensive Pipe manufactures use as its impervious to heat/flame.
Still have that block of briar in picture !
Enjoy

mwa did some work with ceramic many months back and similar to the t3 you did but t3 wasnt around yet, keep going zipper, your getting very close

Bad & Danno:
I don't know if ya'll remember but Apex Vapor came out with a atty tank about 9-10 months ago. It was made of Ceramic. It never sold well and was discontinued. The MOD itself was horrible, but I thought the Atty was genius. WallyO suggested that it could regain possible interest, maybe with your Chinese connections? I think Ceramic is the way of the future, due to the extremely clean taste they deliver..

sure pm me epxlain how it worked

Grimm did a take on it along time ago. I could never find one to purchase myself..they were sold out.

basically the tank was more or less made out ceramic, and fed a carto. Which IMO, would be a bad concept. If the tank were made even thicker, and you could simply make your own coil and stick somehow down the center, that might be something. The density of the ceramic will determine if it simply wicks, or just drains juice all over the place..It must act like a sponge, for sure..

Or, as you may have hinted upon, the ceramic material itself..looks really sturdy over current offerings. My Diamond wheels are out for delivery today BTW. I'll soon be in touch...

NEW Birkshire AGA-T+ Genesis RBA Tank 3ml - ALL Stainless Steel
$29.95

It's a certifiably solid, all stainless NEW Birkshire Clear AGA-T+ Genesis and its here now at GotVapes at the same fantastic low price. When we say it is all stainless we mean ALL stainless including and right down to the center rod and tube and the knurled nuts for securing the unit on the inside. The factory maintains there five improvements over the previous AGA-T Clear:

  • Dynamic Air Flow Adjustment - The threading was removed from the dome/cap and instead you see double o-rings are beign used to secure the cap atop the unit. This allows you to twist and adjust to increase or decrease air flow as you see fit! Simple and intuitive!
  • ALL metal tubes are now STAINLESS including center tube, positive post, negative post and screws. No copper plating used so this should suffer no corrosion.
  • Knurling removed from the outside of the body to give a more beautiful sleek look.
  • This now supports a glass tank for a theoretically better tasting vape. This is an option as the unit comes standard with a clear PC tube (poly carbonate).
  • The wick hole (aka mesh hole) is positioned closer to the postive post to prevent/reduce a possible hot spot effect.

Was getting an off taste with the newest AGA coming from the o-rings my AGA-W was doing the same thing also . Decided to put all o-rings in my NIC i use for DIY 36mg covered and let it sit for a week.

Rinsed o-rings under cold water put tank back together filled with my DIY e-liquid and yes great flavor just like in my DID20 genny's.
No more off taste at all.

Now to clean off the dust on my AGA-W and bring it back into rotation after i soak it's o-rings.

In short im just a 2 flavor vaporer both being different RY4s and did notice a big flavor difference early on but now fixed.
Fits perfect to the stainless Vamo i like to add.

What is the best video out there for building one of these? I notice that one of the posts, not sure if it's + or - has a hole in it with a screw on top. Assume you put one end of the coil through the hole and tighten it down with the screw?

I can see from here, the top coil wire goes in the center under the thumb bolts. but where does the other end of the wire go? To the post with the hole and screw on top? Or the other screw to the left?

Can't tell by the pic.
