Well... I've been anxiously awaiting some 3/32" ceramic wicks to try in my AGA-T2 ( aka Birkshire II ) and they were estimated to arrive today... The trouble is, I ordered them from a vendor in the NE and it's now uncertain when they will get through... darn it :(

Tell us about it when you get them..........please? I'd really like to know how well they work

I certainly will... I've read the warnings of them being delicate ( ie brittle )... hopefully that is the only drawback. I'm slightly concerned about them filtering the e-liquid but that is the only issue I could conceive of being a problem.

I got my vapemail around 9am this morning... so I'm a really happy camper now...

After hearing about how fragile ceramic wicks were, I had some concerns about how these would be packaged and if they would survive the shipping. My concern was unfounded, they had sealed the 3 wicks into a tube for an eGo CE4 type clearo, so they were well protected. They probably could have shipped them in a plastic battery box or perhaps an e-juice bottle and saved a little on packaging, but all is good either way.

The wicks are 3/32" diameter... so I decided to prewrap my coil on a rod of the same size first and then move it to the wick. I believe that I should have used a 2mm rod ( slightly smaller than the 3/32" ) instead since the coil unwraps slightly and this would have resulted in a coil that would have be a little tighter on the ceramic wick although I would have had to "screw" the coil on instead of just slip it over the wick. Building the coil on a rod first and then moving it to the wick has been the easiest way I've found to get a nicely spaced coil.

Initially, the vapor and flavor starts out a little bit weak... so far, it has been building up in both areas as I've used it more. I suspect a lot of that is because the coil is getting coated a bit more from the e-juice and filling in the tiny bit of slack that I started with.

This has been the easiest wick build I've had to date... It is almost a no-brainer and the only thing you have to be careful with is the wick being a little fragile but that, so far, hasn't been an issue either.
