I'm looking into getting one of these and would like to know if it is the same coil as their other bdc tanks?
If so they do have bad ones I used 25 coils and did have 3 bad ones out of them... But that is still not a bad rate and that was out of 2 boxes so like everything else there will be bad ones.. Just no way around it...:(

They're different than the other Aspire BDC heads. Quite a bit different, at least in appearance (the Nautilus heads are much larger - even the box is about twice the size). I haven't been using either one for very long (just a couple of days), but, if you like the way the other Aspire BDC tanks vape, I think you'll be very happy with the Nautilus. I've found the smaller BDC tank to be a better vape than any of the BCC tanks I've tried, but I've been leaving it aside (except for the occasional desire to mix up the flavor) in favor of the Nautilus.

Hey, actually the nautilus coil head is its own unique design and not the same as others and we have seen no such issue with our nautilus coil heads in any way, i do know what you're saying, and i can agree as i have seen it myself with the ones you described and other companies. Usually it's a couple of heads out of many many that might have an issue and usually that number stays low but if its a massive issue then they would do a recall to fix the situation as they always do. With the nautilus there is no such issue with our units and our heads, so rest assured and buy with confidence when you shop at gotvapes. If there was any such issue we would let you all know and deal with it properly like we always do.

Can you dry burn the Nautilus Aspire head? (my new tank and heads should arrive very soon) I have a couple Aspire BDCs (vivi nova style), and I use this method to dry burn my BDCs' head:

1. Pull center post off of a wet head
2. Throw away the filler material lining the head (I use Boba's Bounty 100%VG, Gorilla 100%VG, or Hype 90VG/10PG -- and getting rid of the lining does not flood/or leak)
3. Soak head in everclear for approximately 5-10minutes.
4. Rinse with deionized water.
5. Let dry overnight
6. Dry burn...

It seems from my research that the center post does not come off of the Aspire Nautilus head. Is the new filler material sensitive to heat insofar that it won't get burned in a dry burn? Or, is there anyway to take out the filler material without compromising the head? I had the worst of luck with that filler material on the Aspire BDC -- to me, that filler material was what seemed to be the quality control issue with dry hits and muted flavor... Pull that sucker out, and wala! one of the best vapes from a clearo. I'm curious as I'm frugal, and would like to get the longest performance out of a $3-$4 head.

I did see a video in Spanish named Limpiar y Dry Burn Aspire Nautilus head, but my Spanish is pretty poor so I don't know what the dude used to soak the head...

Sorry this is a bit of a dissertation -- I'm new to posting on ECF (I've lurked the forums for far too long). Thanks guys!

I was having trouble with the 1.6 ohm coil-I was getting 02 errors on my Vamo V2 and it was reading 9.9 ohms. I did get it to work somewhat after that, but it wasn't great especially when my 18650 battery started getting low. I've since switched to the 1.8 ohm coil and everything is perfect with it. I don't know if I did something wrong to that original 1.6 ohm coil or not, but at this point I don't care too much. I'm in vapeing heaven with my Nautilus right now.

Anybody know about dry burning? I know this is bad business for the vendor (more dry burn, more use of the head, less purchasing replacement heads), but I'd really like to know. I got mine in the mail yesterday, and I love this tank! It is a true beaut.

I asked about this last week, but did not get any replies.. there is a vid on youtube showing it, my Spanish is not as good as it was 15 years ago, so I am not sure what he is saying but you can watch his process, I don't think I will force a paper towel down on the coil like he does in the video, but you can still get the general idea/results.. :)

Jingles, the Vamo's just don't like things around 1.5ohms. I experimented with mine and if I got below 1.7ohms it started acting flaky.

Mr. Glass, I have not heard anything on the dryburning on the heads for this. It is so new on the market that no one is reporting one that ability yet but if I hear anything I will post it in here.

Thanks Woody-At least I feel a little better knowing it probably wasn't anything I did wrong. I really try to be patient when I'm getting ready to use a new-to-me tank or clearo and I try to follow directions-LOL!

I tried to replicate what I do when dry burning the Aspire BDC (removing the filler material) and then using the same process... Nope! This head needs that filler material. The atty wouldn't even fire, because it was so flooded. I may try to find some similar material to replace it with though. I think I saw somebody put 100% organic cotton gauze as a replacement. We'll see.

The good news is, I managed to dry burn the head without popping an atty. So, my next attempt will be getting 100%pg unflavored somewhere, let that soak in the tank and hit it a couple times, and then let the entire head soak in it for a while... Blow dry a little, let sit, and try to dry burn it that way. My concern with using water or any other cleaning product is -- while the wick may get dry from the dry burn, the filler material will stay moist/damp with whatever you put on it. Anybody know where I can find 100%pg unflavored?

Yep.. the head that did work on my nautilus is going on two weeks now and tastes just as good as day one. At least 10 tanks thru it now. I would have used at least 3 or 4 cartos. My cartos tend to plug up after 5-10 ml. I'm going on 50ml with this one head.

So really I'm saving money with the nautilus heads :)

wow not to sure, did you get the nautlus from us, not sure why it would flood especially with 100%vg , thats very thick, plus the inner sheet should definatly be holding back any chance of flooding, ill look around and see if i can find any info for you on that issue , never heard of a nautalus flood like that, did it continue flooding even after cleaning and everyting??

If you find something please keep us updated.. I got one of these not from you guys.. But in less than 3 tanks have had to use 2 coils. I use 100%VG as well. 1st head flooded like crazy and 2nd clogged up after 2 tanks.. So I would like to know about cleaning them as well..
Again thanks for your time with this new tank.. When it works it is almost as good as my Russian!!

ill look into it for sure but im curious as to were everyone bought these that had a issue, can you pm me were you got them, i can try to track down the issue as to maybe a certain vendor has product with issues or a certain group of vendors, was this in the usa or euro and when was it purchased, then i can look into it directly with eigate for you guys but its hard for me to determine the issue when the ones we are selling dont have that problem but ill try to help. im starting to think that maybe a couple of vendoirs out there must have recieved some bad heads and i have spoken to a few vendor firends who do sell it and they havent had any issues just like we havent so if you can pm me some info i cant try to help , as to how to fix it, i wont know unless i have it in my hand, if you want to send me the one head you have to test it, i can do that for you

issues like the ones your having are the reasons we stress to buy form reputable vendors who are well known like us. The reason being is the bigger vendors that buy more are more then likely to always get the best of the best. Its not always the case as sometimes issue can arise but the majority of the time it can depend on who you purchased them from, i would also contact the place you bought them at to see if what they can do for you. Illl look into this for you guys and get back with you

Hi Thanks for the quick reply

i only buy my ecig gear from you you have always done right by me so i dont look at others no need
and yes i flooding almost straight away after cleaning i dyed the head out by vaping straight of the head no tank
refited the tank add liquid and within 10 pufs it was bubbling and giving me unvaped liquid
i have now fitted the second head and it was fine for 4 hours of use last night and fine in the morning
but started to flood the same way

can you please check the center post the bit the top of the head threads into my one has no thread at right to the bottom
im thinking this might be the problem liquid getting in to the top of the head
i have a photo i can send you if you pm me a email address as i dont have a image share account
