Vapage Brian has been busy these last few months in China. I just found out about some of the new gear coming out and thought I'd share. (click picture for a close up)

He’s not only tweaked the look from other versions of an ego type VV by having the voltage printed on the battery tube, he's added a visible red mark on the dial. And, he’s changed the dial making it knurled so it can be turned easier. (that will sure make vaping easier!)

There’s more. He’s also developed a new never seen before 1300 mAh size with a new name – the U-Turn. Check out the close up picture. (click for a larger view)

As you can see, the U-Turn is the same height as it’s thinner brother (the 900 mAh version called the Revolver), but it is a bit wider tube. That means more battery life between charges without having to carry a baton. ( I like that.)

And, the function and performance is much the same as the original. VV ego style….with a simple twist of the dial. Ego type 510 connection, etc.

U-Turn and the Revolver--- watch for them in September at Vapage.com.

And, one more thing -- the U-Turn is a Vapage Exclusive. Brian worked it out with the manufacturer to be able to supply many vendors with the Revolver styling.

I don't know what the colors will be --- I'm hoping for purple or blue

Precise reason I was going to sell my pink twists........I CAN'T see the voltage marks.....so what is the point of VV if I can't read it (what are you dialing in? I dunno, lemme go get my magnifying glass!) LOL

This is great, U-Turn, fatter instead of lo-o-o-o-nger, the red mark, as well as voltage on the side and readable....and more twistable due to knurling .

Tearose, the exterior looks "rubberized"...boy that would be nice if it was.

Tank looks interesting.....but I bought vmod due to not wanting to use tanks anymore......what makes it not leak? :)

Flikka, I thought of that too, but I have no clue. I think that's a great question for Vapage. Not all heads are created equal and not all fit on everything.

Racehorse, these XL Crystals have a screw on base. I'm guessing that would prevent any leaks. I've never had any of my Vapage Crystals or any other brands of CE2/3,4,5,6,7 (LOL) tanks leak. I love the set up of a "Twist" type battery (in this case the U-Turn) with those Crystal tanks! The truth for me is... it's a great out and about set up, and is also perfect for a newb.

My vision rebuildable does, too. The entire post screws out and is also replaceable, not just the long wicks. But of course, tank size is way smaller at 1.6

However, this Vapage XL Crystal is completely closed and flat at the base, except for the airhole which protrudes, so it needs the adaptor to go on the ego styles stuff ( probably sits atop a tube mod without?)

whereas the vision is a deeply recessed "female" base with airhole up inside, and therefore doesn't need an adaptor.

I would really have to see the bottom up close.

the 5ML Crystal would appear that it would look a bit more "svelte" atop an ego style bat than a vivi nova tank would. And it's much bigger volume than a vision, so........

So, here's the problem I personally have with all of these things. I loved my vision rebuildable (I can replace tube, center post, and atty, all can be bought separate) and they were relatively cheap. It's the wicks. I can't get interested in rebuilding wicks, and yet I want to, with cotton or bamboo, because I"m not crazy about vaping what the wicks are made of.

Somebody mentioned that if someone was selling pre built wicks, they would make some money. I know I would buy them, but they'd have to be made out of cotton, cheesecloth etc.

2nd thing is the durn things start getting really tight draw after repeated cleaning and use, which replacing the atty won't fix.
:) And the wicks start to fray pretty badly.

These were all the things that caused me to want a Vmod instead of ego batt with something atop it in the first place. But yeah, for out and about this is a nice setup, I agree!

Looks to me like the Crystal XL will be very sleek on the U-Turn.....a perfect match.

Vapage does know how to make good looking practical vaping machines.

I have enjoyed my crystal/stardust/illusion (by whatever name) as my back-up purse gear with no problems. I haven't tried any of the more commercial replaceable head products yet. This will be my first.

My notes in lavender.

Actually, the Vapage XL is threaded for any 510 usage, Ego style batt or other. The adapter (from what is pictured) appears to be an Ego cone rather than an Ego-510 adapter. It is used to cover the Ego threads. So you can use it without the "adapter" (cone) or with. It just looks better (more finished) with the cone.

I would really have to see the bottom up close.

5ml, "svelte"? LOL! Anything over a ml looks fat to me! But I like that it holds that much liquid.

I agree with you on this. So if anyone would like to start building cotton replaceable wicks for us, you've instantly got your first two customers!

I haven't ever noticed frayed wicks on any of mine. The tight draw to me is an indication that it needs a new coil (if cleaning didn't help it).
