This might not be the best place to post this but I'm thinking about trying DIY. I see that I can get liters of 100 nic and gallons of VG. Is there a program that can tell me how much VG I need to make my nic into 12mg. I'm guessing 7 to 1 so it's about 2 gallons of VG for 1 liter of nic. I'm not good going from metric to US gal.

Why not mix it as you need it? I keep everything separate till I mix it a litre of 100 mg nic will last a long time I broke mine up into 5 separate dark glass bottles filled to the top and stored in the freezer I buy VG & PG at the drug store as I need it there are a lot of flavour companies out there but Inawera is one of my favourites it's very concentrated and you need very little compared to mount baker or TFA TPA
were 15 to 20% flavour is needed with Inawera 3 to 4% is good enough

Better to learn how to mix what you want. What vg/pg percentage are you looking for?
I buy 60mg nic and vg & pg & flavoring. It is pretty simple once you figure out what you want mixed. The 100mg nic is very strong, may be better to use 60.

I use the same calculator as Steamer. My computer seems to be too old to get the downloadable ones to work anyway.
Another thing to think of is freezer space. Storing your nic in smaller bottles, keeping it at 100ml, takes much less space than mixing it all up and then storing that. Glass bottles are pretty much recommended to avoid plastic leeching into your nic, plus the degrading and cracking some plastics go through in the freezer. Some members report very little loss of concentration of their nic 4 years later that's been stored in the freezer. Just something to chew on.

It's simple primary school math.

Gallons to liters: multiply by 3.785 (rounded to 3.8).

12.5‰ nicotine juice from 100mg/ml mix: 7 parts juice, 1 part 100‰ nicotine.

1 liter of 100‰ nicotine plus 1.75 (or 1¼ if it's easier) gals of base will yield (roughly) two gallons of 12.5‰ juice.

I would keep to 8oz or 250ml batches if I were you.

Canoeist, that depends on wether the 60‰ nic is 40% cheaper than 100‰. In Mexico where I live, price is almost exactly the same. Thus I get the highest concentration I can (100‰). Having worked with photography chemicals in my darkroom for nearly 40 years teached me how to handle dangerous materials (like potassium ferricyanide) so I´m not worried about nic. 100‰ is also easier to extrapolate without the need for a calculator (for us metric users at least )

Ray, once you get nto DIY you will find that different flavors require different VG/PG proportions. Going final on your base nicotne content is exactly that; final! you won't be able to alter it. Also, some juices can have a high proportion of flavors or concentrates. Take for example a Tribeca clone that has 20% flavors. Adding that to your 12‰ base would render it a 9.6‰ juice. More drastic are NETs (natural extracts of tobacco) on which you might start with a concentrate that will yield its triple (33% or 1/3:2/3 proportion) that would leave you with an 8‰ final juice.

Suggestion, do your homework and ask around if you get stuck. Many DIY honchos here and IMHO DIY liquds are waaaaaaay better than commercial. In the lesser instance, you know what's in there. For me, DIYing is the only way to go!

Well I'm really looking to go full VG. Most of my juices come from Kokomo Pure Vapors. Although another forum has a Gambit and Grandmaster recipes that I'd like to try . And if I could have the recipe for the real Gorilla Juice (not the one from AVE) it would be close to the only juice I'd vape. Killa Vanilla has gone on it's own and KPV doesn't sell it anymore. KPV also has Smurf Poo (name changed to keep from being dinged by mods) and Mad Cow (Freudian slip makes me call it ex wife) Sweet Tart all very tasty juices. I also vape Afternoon Delight from MBV. Eight flavors and more Reos than favorite juices. Not a bad place to be.

i'm struggling to think of the last time i paid for pre-made juice and i think it was some that came as a freebie when the first eVics came out (and ofc Canada had them first and HRH just had to have one!).

Once a month i sit and make about 150ml of juice. Takes all of 10 minutes. You go easy on the VG - people will think you're cloud-chasing! I have to up mine (70/30 more or less) cos it's hot here.

Never been one to care what others thought. Must be why I still wear Jorts (Jean Shorts) I need to start DIY so I have more money for Reos. I mean really I only have 10 with one going in the mail 2maro and one that was sent Thursday or so he said. I really hope they all get here soon so I can post the family pic I was supposed to post when my LP TRA came in.

You could just buy 100% VG 12mg base from wizardlabs or nude nicotine. Unflavored tastes great even if you don't flavor it.

Price is more what I'm looking to lower. I already have a half liter of 12mg from Wizard Labs. 1 liter of 100mg would make 8 liters of 12.5 mg. If I went that route it would cost a lot more. Thanks for the response though.

You need 2 gallons of VG, Ray. You'll have a little (not much) left over. Also, do you have, or are you buying some dark, glass, 1-liter bottles?
