So I Just started DIYing last night and my first mix of VG/Distilled/100mg Nic/Flavor was a bit of a pain. I bought the VG by the gallon and the easiest way to mix was to pour from the 1 gallon into a graduated cylinder. I was thinking about buying a .5 liter glass bottle and mixing the VG/Distilled/Nic in there in advance. Would make it a lot easier to handle and I would just have to add flavor since the VG is already thinned. I would also think this would speed steep times?

Any opinions/what do you do?

Thinking something like this:

I buy it by the gallon and I have a 120ml bottle laying around so I pour it into that for every day use. If you warm it just a bit it pours very easy. I too use cylinders to measure it out for my 30ml mixes and for my 10ml test batches I measure it out with a 10ml syringe with no needle attached.

Do be aware that if you premix the PG, VG, and nic, your nic concentration will go down when you add flavoring. You can make the premade a bit stronger to compensate, but there will still be a bit of variation for different recipes. But if +/- 10% of your desired nic concentration is not a big deal, it will work. Also, if you mix a large amount, you will also increase the space needed for long term storage of the nicotine, if that matters.

I have a ltr 2- 500ml 2 - 250ml 2-125 ml of pg and vg. I also have a couple of extra 125 ml squeeze bottles. With the squeeze bottles I have them pre mixed with pg/vg no nicotine. I use the bigger bottles to fill the smaller bottles when my ltr runs out I order another. At first I thought it was surprising how much I had. Now it's like boy glad I do lol.

I premix without nicotine and I only keep about 60ml of nic for mixing at any given time. This way it saves me a ton of time as I mix VG/PG/DW so I just have to add some nic and flavor. I measure 7.5ml of my base add my flavor and nic which gives me approx 10ml total. The only time I aim for greater accuracy is when I make juice for others. I have also started using squeeze bottles for premixed flavoring that I use often. Basically I can put in the nic and then fill up the bottle with flavor already mixed in the base and I'm done. Some people don't believe in doing it this way since they want the flavor percentages exact but it works for me.

I keep two 500ml amber packers (glass) with everything premixed except flavoring. And it's a snap to mix new juice. Of course, there's some variations due flavoring %'s but well within tolerance for personal use. Also keep ~250ml of VG on hand for miscellaneous use. And balance in the freezer. Enjoy!

Storing premixed in glass is not a bad idea but personally I'd opt for boston rounds or 1 pint or 1/2 pint mason jars before spending that $$ on pyrex just for storage.

Absolutely 100% correct. Boston rounds or mason jars are the way to go. Clear or brown don't matter when stored in the freezer as there's usually no light on in the freezer to make the NIC go bad that is unless the light switch is broken:) Pyrex glass is expensive and a waste of money for long term storage.
