hey everyone, new member here! i'm here to learn and meet the good vape peeps of the world! i'll probably lurk for awhile so i can get a feel for this forum and ask questions when the dialogue is appropriate.

a little bit about me- i'm an EX-smoker of 15 years. my brother spent 2 years trying to tell me to switch to vaping. i'd try his from time to time and didn't quite get into it. finally one day i said "enough is enough" and decided if i was ever going to quit smoking that i had nothing to lose by just TRYING a vape. so on my quit date (May 6, 2014) i waited SIX whole hours after waking up without smoking a cig... (smokers barely last 6 minutes haha)... i was about to have an anxiety episode so that was when i tried a vape. i was absolutely amazed how the nicotine was delivered in a timely fashion and ever since that first vape i've NEVER looked back! in fact, i have not cheated even ONCE! not even one single drag!

to keep this short- vaping has changed my life! i vape with a Vea with 18mg nicotine and i use it less per day than i EVER smoked cigs! i feel better, i look better, i smell better.. i feel like a new man!

anyway, i've become aware of the Attorney General and big tobacco trying to take away vaping from the good people of America so i decided to join so that i can become informed and active.

i look forward to the content here and hope in the near future i will be able to contribute good content of my own!

cheers

hey eratikmind, how are you this evening? i've been browsing around for a bit here and i see some really great content! nice to see this forum is moderated to keep the flames at bay. attractive and coherent layout, too. i signed up at CASAA right before i came here. for me vaping has changed my life by allowing me to reduce my nicotine as i stay away from cigarettes. all this attention about bannings and such i really think i should participate as much as i can. it saddens me to think long-term smokers could be denied the freedom from cigarettes because some jerks with a little money and power say 'nope'. i usually am not moved by online communities but vaping is really personal for me (and my family, actually) so i definitely know i need to somehow contribute positively.

i think science is going to show that vaping isn't completely safe and maybe even harmful in ways but hopefully there will be compromise when it's finally proven that vaping is immensely "safer" than cigarettes. certainly i believe compromise has it's place somewhere in the mix.
