Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new to building coils, and mech mods. But with that being said, I have a Nemis 9089 paired with a Magma RDA. I have been building coils using a 3/32 bit, with 26 gage kanthal wire, doing 6 wraps. Now my question is this, my battery seems to be dying very quickly. So I was wondering what I can do to get xtra life out of it? I'm not totally sure what voltage I'm at. The place I purchased everything from suggested I stick with this build until I was comfortable experimenting with other builds.
I don't have a ohm reader (I plan on getting one), and even if I did I'm not totally sure how to go about building safe coils.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

You should never build any coils for an unregulated device (mech mod) unless you have an ohm meter. With an ohm meter, you can ensure that your coil build isn't shorted before you put it in your mod and thus shorting out the battery.

Putting a shorted coil on top of a mech mod leads to having a REALLY BAD DAY.

to ecf NyoX. Nice to meet you and so glad you are here. I am not ready to try the lower ohm's yet and I only do simple single coils, but the first thing I did was look at a lot YouTube's regarding safety while building and there is some really good information here to read if you are interested.
