You're actually twitching? I never went through actual withdrawals (Other then general Bit**y-ness) ;) But I remember still feeling like I needed a cigarette even though I knew I was getting nicotine. Its the other chemicals, and for me it was extremely hard MENTALLY to not go outside and smoke.
What MG nicotine liquid are you using? That plays a HUGE roll in how you feel in that first week. I personally think its best to over do it a little in the first week because it makes it easier to not crave cigarettes. After you feel alright, you can lower the nic and see how you feel.

It gets easier, I promise.

If you mean that you are feeling jittery then you may want to think of ways that you calm yourself down even when you are smoking. Taking a walk or a hot bath, maybe. Of course you are focusing on cigarettes right now, but try to keep in mind that you are allowed to do anything else you feel like doing. (Long as it's legal or you don't get caught :D)

Hang on there!

Hi Sassy Sadie, welcome to EFC!

Yeah, it sounds like you might want to consider a higher nicotine level. From what I've read here on the site, there is some question about how much nicotine is actually absorbed when vaping. As long as its not such a high level that you get headaches or nauseated you should be safe in doing it. Find out what suits you.

Keep us informed of your progress. Like whiskey said, we're here to help you do this!

Hey Sassy, I'm on my 4th day of vaping yesterday i was all hung over and grumpy so i thought if i smoked a cigarette i'd feel better but it didn't help at all i couldn't even feel the smoke in my lungs or throat could barely even taste anything. It was just a rough afternoon but later on that evening i found myself relaxing and vaping away. So i think if you're craving a cigarette and haven't had one in a couple days just go ahead and try it see how you feel about it. :2c:

Welcome Sassy, may be you could go your way slowly. Ecig is not like patch.

My advice :
Its no hurry stopping cigarettes, just now, atm. Smoke when u need and slowly do ur way.

What I did :
- I bought an Ego (first, I wanted to try that funny thing, didnt' plan to quit smoking)
- Without any will, I came from 20 to 5 cigarettes a day,
- Then I bought a mod
- Then I came from 5 to 3 cigarettes a day
- Now I'm wondering why I still smoke 3 cigarettes a day.

(sorry for my weird english)

Part of what you are going through may just be from the anxiety of trying to aviod a regular cig. I had simular experiences. I have been off the regular cigs for about 2 wks now. I used a couple of tricks that helped. The one I might suggest to you is taking a good strong enhale of vaper and holding it in. When you exhale you won't see any vapor but that is because most all of it has been absorbed into the lungs. Just a suggestion.
