Ehh... Tried disposables off and on for awhike. Then Bought a vkit a few weeks ago from volcano... Been using some volcano cartos then picked up some blu cartos and have been refilling them. Not the greatest, but its helped me seriously cut down on the analoges (only had three all week. Used to smoke 1-2 packs a day). Ill be picking up a riva 510 from liberty flights as soon as i get the money together, mostly holding off till i can figure out if i want tanks or cartos...

Congratulations! A Riva is pretty much an eGo clone. They both have 510 internal and external "eGo" threading. You might keep that in mind when you're looking for other gear - you might get a better price on an eGo.

Welcome to ECF Fishcakes. I would encourage you to try cartos, clearos, and tanks. They are all different vaping experiences. After I did tons of reading (I lurked on ECF for about 6 weeks before joining), I was convinced that vaping preferences are really subjective. I ended up trying cartos and clearos first (I thought it was an easier learning curve). I have tanks on order.

I would also recommend a vendor closer to NJ than CA. The Riva is an ego type battery, and it is a common item found at most vendors. By all means, you can order from Liberty in CA and wait for it to ship across the US; I don't want to discourage you from a popular vendor.

If you do want to shop closer to home, even for other supplies:
Discount Vapers is in CT (great customer service). Litecigs and GoodProphets are in PA (great customer service too). Vapelite is in NJ (pretty good prices on cartos, BTW). I have ordered from all of these companies and have never had a problem.

Good Luck!

Edit: Ocelot types faster than me - she beat me to it!

Thats actually the main reason i was drawn to it, plus its the best deal i can find... Two 650 mah manual bata in a starter for $35 plus shipping? Cant see how i can lose. Ive heard tons of great stuff about both so... Why the hell not?

What else comes with the kit you're looking at?

Cool. I started with Volcano as well - the Inferno. After 3 months, upgraded to a LavaTube V2. Thanks to this forum, have discovered a whole world of other options as well. But I'm still more than happy with Volcano and stick with them for the majority of my vaping stuff...also because I have a brick & mortar retailer near my house.

All the best to ya and we're glad to have you on board.

At the ocelot-

It comes with all this fun stuff

2 x 650mAh Riva 510 Batteries
5 x Smok Tech LR 510 Cartos - These will require e-liquid as they are blank cartos
2 x Cartomizer Cones
1 x Carrying Case - worth $12.49
1 x USB Fast Charger

I already have a mostly full 30ml bottle of tobacco pure from volcano and a mostly full 15ml clove also from volcano..... I should be all set right?

Thanks guys, and ill check out the closer dealers... Any thoughts on better taste? Cartos, tanks or clearos? Which has the most flavor?

No solid answer for that question. Some say cartos, some say clearos. It's kinda subjective. I've found that different attys work differently for different flavors.

Dripping seems to be a pretty popular choice with universal opinions on that subject that it's the best for flavor, but it requires by far the most fiddling too. I can't vouch for it personally as I don't have a dripper. But I just about guarantee someone here will jump in with their experience.

RBAs (rebuildable atomizers) are also popular but I rarely see them discussed in conjunction with flavor. Those are associated mostly with vapor production.

You could be. That is very similar to what I started with, but you can get more bang for your buck if you look around more.

Any idea where? Ive been looking for hours and its the best price i can find. Im open to suggestions, you guys are the pros after all. Haha

This is a very similar kit, the main difference is it has 2 clearomizers for the delivery system and comes with juice. 510 650Mah Ego Kit [650 Ego kit] - $35.00 : Vapors Choice, Ecigarettes & Parts

It's a good little kit for the price, but if it's in your budget you might consider adding a "Twist," which is a variable voltage battery. They sell Joyetech 650mAh Twists for $19.00 which is the best price around right now that I know of. The vendor also has a 5% off coupon "vf5"
