Hello guys!

My name is Anthony and im 25 yo. I was smoking for about 11 years (yes i know its much)
so i decided to give a second chance to vaping (as the first one was with a chinese fail kit back at 2011). I've been vaping for a little over 3 weeks now and haven't smoked a cig and do not plan to, as i am very satisfied with it, definitely no comparison to my first e-cig to this one.

So my setup is as follows:

Mod: eVic VTwo Mini v4.02
Batterries x2: x1 LG 2500mAh (yellow) x1 LG 3000mAh (brown)
Atomizer: SvoeMesto Kayfun v5 with the glass tank
Juice: FlavourArt (brand) SOHO (flavour) @ ~7mg nicotine (they only make 4.5 and 9 so i mixed)

The knowledge i have over the whole vape thing is very limited but i really want to get into it
as i am very excited and want to learn new things.
I got this whole kit by a shop owner who was a friend's friend.

Thats it from me, hope to get to know all of you guys and find about more exciting vaping things!!!

Sorry for the long post =D

Haha, yea seems like it! I am so excited with my build that I tried getting 2 coils in that kayfun.
If u are wondering how that looks like, here it is:

PS: I find the 2 coil build x2 maybe x3 as flavorful as with any other thing i tried so far.

Whats that coming out to?
Sorry mate, i didn't quite get your question :/

Hi, Anthony.... Welcome ! I am so glad to hear that you have found the vape community ! I am a lot older than you but I also started smoking when I was 14 or 15 back in ,1965. Sounds you have a great setup already . Great luck to you, Anthony !
Thanks a lot! :D

That's a very nice little setup that you've started with there! How much did you pay for it?

Do you find that the Kayfun v5 is a suitable vape for you - I mean is it the right 'tightness' of pull for your style of vaping - where do prefer to have the air adjuster?

Welcome to the forum BTW!

I got all the things you read at OP, + 2 juices + a battery charger for 150€. (he didn't charge me VAT) I think that should be around 165$.

Well, the guy that guided me to buy these things told me that since i am going to give money to buy something decent, i should give a something extra for the atty to get something better and hold on to it. Tbh as i am learning about these stuff, i think it was kinda an overkill to get such an expensive atty, but on the other hand i haven't tried any other beside friend's, and i don't believe i am experienced enough to "judge" it.
I like a tight pull that simulates a cigarette, and i am using the 2nd level of tightness (i believe its the same with the v4). Right now i am a little overwhelmed with the maintenance that it needs (i am deep cleaning it every time i have to change the coil/s & wick) and i was thinking about trying an RDA, so atm i am waiting on a Royal Hunter clone to check things! I also had some leakage problems in the first week, and i found out it was the first juice that i got from the guy (no idea about PG/VG). Switching the juice to FlavourArt i only had a very small leakage once with it and it was because wick needed changing.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for all the interest in me!!! Cheers!

I ment what ohm's did your coil come out to. Shouldnt need to clean it everytime you change the wick, everytime you change the coil is probably enough. Once or twice a month. I usually just deep clean mine if I'm changing flavours, rarely.

I just used the same setup today and it came to be exactly the same 0.73ohms with 2 coils.
Do you really change your coil/s once/twice in a month? The guy told me that i need to change it every ~5 days and the wick every ~3. So instead of opening it up 2 times, i just change wick and coil at 3-4 days depending on the absorbing efficiency of the wick, and i also clean it. And tbh my coils look pretty dark like burned at 4 days.

You can keep the same coils for *months* if you're careful taking the old wicks out and inserting the new ones (I usually burn the old cotton out with the deck exposed at relatively low wattage - they burn in the middle and the two end pieces just easily pull off).

Then I just pulse the coils and then immediately run cold water over then - that thermal shock seems to get the coils really clean and gunk free.

With the relatively clean juices that I use, I normally replace my wick about once per week - usually takes me about 5 minutes tops.

If you're getting leaking from your KF5, it's most probably your wicking technique, and less likely to be an o-ring problem.

Although you *can* mount 2 coils in a Kayfun, they're really not designed for that and tend to perform best with a single coil at relatively low power - they're designed as MTL, flavour tanks and not cloudzbro ones. ;)

For future reference, if you ordered that gear from the likes of Fasttech in China, you could have gotten that setup for around USD$100 or 90 Euros - but what you paid wasn't bad at all for a shop.

VTCvTwo: $35
Kayfun 5: $20
3x18650: $15
XTARVC2: $20
Juice, say:$10

I change mine about every 2 weeks with kanthol wire, 1 month SS, 1-2+ months with claptons. Cotton every few days take it out and pulse "dry burn" the coil. It will change from black to a dark grey color. To keep it shiny new looking you'd have to change it everyday. Generally you change factory coils every 5-7 days but thats just because you can't change the wick in them. It's more the wick then the coil. I know when my coils need to be changed because the flavour they give is muted, I cough more often, or need to run higher watts to get same performance. I prefer supporting my countries economy as well, China got enough money lol.

How would you describe a juice as "clean juice"? Also about the leaking, that what the guy said that the Kayfuns are very good and if they leak it is probably because i did something wrong. Well i have been vaping on single coils for 3 weeks and this 1.5 week that i run dual coils i find that i get a lot more flavor, but the downside is it burns a lot of juice and it traps a lot of it in the mouth piece. From the things i heard, all the Kayfuns are MTL, but they would "categorize" the V5 as straight to lung (which is the thing i like).

I guess i could save some $$ off fasttech, but as i saw the Kayfun there was a clone.
Also the Royal Hunter clone i won at a bidding on ebay seems a lot better on quality than the one on fasttech for 4 more $ (i got it for 12$ + free shipping).

I change mine about every 2 weeks with kanthol wire, 1 month SS, 1-2+ months with claptons. Cotton every few days take it out and pulse "dry burn" the coil. Do you believe that i could achieve those big periods without changing kanthal coils with sub-ohm?
Tbh i found it very weird that the guy told me that i should change it so often, since its a wire, it only heats up. I can understand the wick changing since it loses its properties.

What wick would you recommend besides japanese organic one?
What types of wicks are there and what are their ups/downs?

PS: I have also ordered an 8-pack that has 6 coils of 8 combinations to test. (Claptons, Aliens, etc)

Thanks for all your kind help!
