How would you describe a juice as "clean juice"? Also about the leaking, that what the guy said that the Kayfuns are very good and if they leak it is probably because i did something wrong. Well i have been vaping on single coils for 3 weeks and this 1.5 week that i run dual coils i find that i get a lot more flavor, but the downside is it burns a lot of juice and it traps a lot of it in the mouth piece. From the things i heard, all the Kayfuns are MTL, but they would "categorize" the V5 as straight to lung (which is the thing i like).

I guess i could save some $$ off fasttech, but as i saw the Kayfun there was a clone.
Also the Royal Hunter clone i won at a bidding on ebay seems a lot better on quality than the one on fasttech for 4 more $ (i got it for 12$ + free shipping).

Do you believe that i could achieve those big periods without changing kanthal coils with sub-ohm?
Tbh i found it very weird that the guy told me that i should change it so often, since its a wire, it only heats up. I can understand the wick changing since it loses its properties.

What wick would you recommend besides japanese organic one?
What types of wicks are there and what are their ups/downs?

PS: I have also ordered an 8-pack that has 6 coils of 8 combinations to test. (Claptons, Aliens, etc)

Thanks for all your kind help!
Yeah, I sub ohm and tend to change my coils more often then alot of people. Japanese Organic is pretty much the standard, Youtube wicking the Kayfun 5 to see the best way to do it, many are different lengths, spacing etc. What you do with the cotton makes a big difference, should be light and fluffy and not super tight in the coil but not loose either. Search Scottish roll wicking if your using sheets of cotton... uses alot more but last twice as long and taste better. Are more airy as well, I barely need any air flow open at all for a good restricted DTL.

'Clean' juice is juice that doesn't have much in the way of sweeteners and colouring in it - these are the main ingredients that leave the dark gunk on your coil.

Also about the leaking, that what the guy said that the Kayfuns are very good and if they leak it is probably because i did something wrong.
He's right there - pretty much all Kayfuns are reliable, leakfree tanks when wicked correctly and have good o-rings.

Well, that's all well and good, if that's the style of vape you like - it sounds like you might also like other tanks which are more in that style - it sounds like you might also like RTAs like the SXK Wine, the Bellus and also the venerable, but reliable Orchid.

I guess i could save some $$ off fasttech, but as i saw the Kayfun there was a clone.
LOL - with the price you paid, there's *no way* that Kayfun 5 is a real SM one - they're like USD$120 alone!

There's nothing wrong with the FT clones, anyway - you're almost certainly vaping on one right now - they're often as good as, and believe it or not, sometimes *better* than the originals.

Why not try it and see? I'd say almost certainly yes. You're only *barely* SubOhming, as well.

You could try Rayon (cellucotton) - a lot of people find it superior to cotton, it lasts longer and wicks a lot better.

Eh - the KF5 hasn't really got the kind of build deck and screws that's friendly to weird, big-... monster coils, and it's not really the kind of tank that suits them anyway, although there's no harm in trying them I suppose - make sure you mount them relatively high and don't melt your insulators.

Yea, when im trying to pass the wick through the coil i roll the wick very thin in one end so i can pass it easily like a thread to a needle, and i make sure i dont put a lot of pressure on the wick so it's not compressed and loses its absorbing skills (obviously i cut the thready-like part). I'll definitely check about that Scottish roll, thanks for the advice.

Well, about the Kayfun i can say its the original one, since i checked the video on youtube comparing it to the SXK clone one. It mind sound cheap, but you have to keep in mind VAT in Greece is 24% so 120€ with no VAT is like 90€ (if my quick maths are good lol)

Build deck as a saw was fine to fit a clapton, and for fat-like coil, they give another set of screws that are longer so its easier to stabilize them. But yea, they need to get high above deck or else it will short-circuit on deck before it will be even possible to melt the insulation :D BTW why dont they use ceramic for insulation instead of plastic? lol

And dont forget about the big set of pre-made coils that i will be able to use them on the Royal Hunter RDA that i am waiting too :)

I am going to check on that RTAs that you recommend, but for now i want to try the RDA i am waiting, just so i can see the differences between a RDA and a RTA so i will know which one to get later. Cheers!

Side note if you use rayon you do want it tight, it don't expand like cotton. Grimm uses small single claptons in it. They should use PEAK most do these days, ceramic tends to crack and leak.
Today i am going to buy more juice from my local vape shop, and i will try and get some Rayon too. My budget right now is pretty tight since i am unemployed but i want to try all things so i can get a standard setup from now on.

What atty would you recommend at a fairly low price for cloud chasing? I know its being mainstream, but i just like a big vapor tbh :D
On the side-note: Do you recon v5 could be a cloud chasing machine with the right setup? And if its possible, what setup?

Thanks again!

You won't win any contests with it but sure. What PG/VG do you use? Higher VG = more clouds.

nah, i really wouldn't care about a contest, just making myself happy with big clouds :D
I went ahead and bought 2 juices today (which were expensive as hell)
Got a Furiosa - Dragon Clouds 30ml @ 6mg/ml 10pg/90vg at 20€
And a Eliquid France - Sweet Cream n16 20ml @ 6mg/ml 50pg/50vg at 12€

I also bought some Cotton Bacon to test. Right now i am vaping the furiosa one, and i am thinking about recoiling and rewicking. Do you think i should go for a sub-ohm or over-ohm for good taste and clouds?

That build didn't look bad. Generally lower ohm with higher watts and higher VG = more clouds. Few less wraps next time should get you in a better range. Or a clapton if you have them yet should produce better flavour if the pre mades all fit try single coil of them.

Unfortunately I am still waiting on them, maybe a week longer for them to arrive.
Btw do you have any recommendation about a RDA at a fairly low price?
