Well Im new to the whole idea of vaping. I just got my starter kit off of dealextreme (yeah bad choice haha) about a month ago, and have been cigarette AND chew free since then.

I got this piece of crap haha
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/quit-s...th-chargers-and-10-refills-set-110-240v-52570

It came with two e cigs and a bunch of chargers and 10 carts, so i thought it was a steal for $9.20. Needless to say, the attys both broke, and I asked for a replacement. Okay, well the replacement came, and one of the batteries died (grrrrr.....) I have one fully functional one left and about 15 carts left out of the 60 I got, and it seems to be holding up fairly well.

Since I started, I learned a bunch of new stuff about vaping, and I'm planning on purchasing a nice pv, but I don't really want to be limited to the "constrictivness" of a starter kit. What I mean is, everything being the same brand and some parts only compatible with that specific brand...*cough cough totally wicked* :p I'm thinking of getting a Titan manual 240mAh battery in black with a .9ml Fluxomizer in smokey black or some smaller clearo of that sort.

If you have any suggestions for me or any better possible set up i can get, I would greatly appreciate it. :)

And dont you dare put "tl:dr"

If you buy a slim ecig ONLY buy manual batteries. Titan is a 510 clone. I would recommend a real Joye/Joyetech 510 instead (180mah or 280mah for the meg xl). The 510 manuals are totally sealed on the threaded end so they are safe from being damaged or killed by juice leaks, and manuals make it easier to get a good hit. if you buy from TW double-check the charger cable. When I got my first 510 from TW the cable damaged many 510 batteries before I thought to check that devil head logo cable (the ONE I didn't check because I knew it came with a 510 kit) and it was actually an Ego cable (420mA output, not 150-250mA like a slim 510 cable should be). Ticked me off a LOT.

And slim 510's (all slim ecigs) use standard resistance cartos and attys. That's about 2.5 to 3 ohms. Anything lower (hotter) is not for the slim batteries.

Welcome Sable23. Good advise already. I have a Joye 510 and an Ego, both suit me just fine, but everyone has different tastes. Cartos are definitely better, IMO, have use carts and cartos, and cartos are much more hassle free. I just top mine off till they start to lose flavor, TH, and vapor, which in 3 weeks my first two just did, and now I'm cleaning them. Anyway, just my opinion, and you know what they say about that......

PS. Just saw on your Sig, Dormouse, 1 yr and 1 week, congrats on your first year. 11 months and 6 days and I'll be there LOL.

Most of the stuff you guys suggested I have already known or wasn't looking for haha but i still appreciate it thanks guys. Congrats on your 1 month away from smoking Balthezar, and congrats on your year away dormouse!

But I don't understand. Why should I get a genuine Joye battery if its 180mAh, when a Titan battery is from a reputable company, and is 220mAh? Also, I know that the manuals are sealed, which is one of the reasons I would prefer it, but also better control over your vaping, so I'm pretty much sold on that. I'm trying to keep a small profile, no XL batteries or clearomizers.

Any batteries you guys could recommend that have a higher mAh rating but still maintain a smaller, more realistic look and feel such as the joye or titan regular sized battery?

Ok. I am NOT in the majority for the new member forum but will humbly speak my peace. Mods are just way better IMHO and will be satisfying. I wish that I would've stepped up early in the game and saved some $$. It's an investment but I needed it to stay off and I find that replacing 18500 batteries will be lest costly in the longrun than replacing ecigs that are made to be replaced.

Just posting so that you can see alternative povs. Good Luck with whatever you choose and happy vaping!

Hufflepuff, i see where your coming from, and I have seen some of the mods and their sick as hell but I kinda just want a more realistic e cig at the moment to help me stay away from analogs. I am fairly seasoned with electronics and i very well may be delving into the world of mods soon, but as of right now, its an option that I'm not particularly fond of.

I agree with Huffelpuff. I started with an E-Power 14650 and couldnt be happier. Its a 3.7V that uses non-proprietary batteries. E-Power batteries cost $4 so they are very cheap to replace (compared to Riva/eGo/kGo batteries that are $14-20) and everything is replaceable on it so it really keeps costs down. I recommend going with a 3.7V like the E-power, Riva, or kGo. They are easy to use and provide more than enough to satisfy your needs. The E-Power batteries are 1050mah and you get 2 with the kit. I get about a day to a day and a half with one battery which is a huge plus over the slim ecig batteries that need to be charged every few hours.

Huffelpuff, where around the Philly suburbs are you from? I live around the Philly suburbs too

Yes - the XL manual batteries from Vapor4Life are 380mah and 3.7v - and they come in different colors. They use cartomizers, which also come in different colors.

I think that the Bloog and Volt (also KR8's like V4L) fit the same criteria.
