I should have expected you and your links. A small part of me hoped you were MIA so this thread can drop off the main page!

That said, I know...really. My experience is completely different from some of you but since I can only base my opinions off my experience well...I have to say SMOK has been good to me so far.

I gave them a chance. Two other family members of mine gave them chances too. End result - one almost blew up in a moving car, two became paper weights, and one more is having issues. That’s 4 mods. That is definitely bound to affect someone’s opinion on a company, no? Especially when two of the vapers in the family know a fair amount about vaping and how to care for their equipment. 2 of those expensive paperweights were well cared for. As for the one that nearly blew... that’s unacceptable.

Smok makes a good product. Been using them for a number of years without a single failure. I currently own the following:

Smok M80 plus
Smok V8 stick
Smok MAG
Smok X-Priv

I also own a handful of their tanks. The Baby beast and 3 of the prince tanks. I would stay away from the baby beast myself only because the coils last about a week if you are lucky. The Prince coils on the other hand last much longer. I get around a month from each coil.

There are plenty of good tanks out there though but I have to admit the prince puts off some major flavor and clouds. (The Baby beast also puts out some serious clouds and flavor but the coil life is too low for me)

P.S. this forum is a little on the anti-SMOK side of things so do not expect too much love for SMOK. There are those of us that do use SMOK products and are happy. We come out and defend SMOK on occasion.

Smok V8 is the one that almost blew up in my ex husband’s car.

Smok, blew up ? Why ? Problem with battery or so ? Then i trying to buy Limitless from my friend if he sell it. Btw, so i must be careful using my Smok Vape Pen 22 it can blew up too ?
Just don't leave the Smok pen unattended when charging it. Make sure you are the right cord and wall wart.

Don't charge anything from a computer. If something happens, you can wind up with a dead mod and a dead PC.

Also, if you are worried about your smok stick, you could get a wall wart that supplies less power, the battery would charge slower, but not likely to overheat as much. You don't HAVE to charge ANY battery at the "highest rate." My (external) charger is on the slow side, but I view that as more safe, and less strain on the batteries. It's just a thought.

Best of luck,

Anna

I mean charging, i don't have external charger now :/ And yes i use dual 18650 battery i hear i can charging battery from usb with no problems.
You can with the right wall wart or your computer, I don't know about using a phone. I've always used an external charger and don't pay much attention to posts about charging from usb. You would get more answers if you started a new thread or Google the question.

I’ve found that when you charge from a usb, even though the batteries register as full, the charge starts to drop from the 2nd/3rd vape, whereas using an external charger, the charge drop takes longer.
