Use single coils.
Stay away from high VG mix. Hard to keep wick saturated if you're really banging on your mod.
Buy hi quality imr batteries. Samsung or LG. Buy a stand alone charger. Nitecore or xtar.
The whole point is to keep it simple & safe. While enjoying a favourable vape.
Clean and store old coils, they can be resurrected. Sometimes..

Be right back with some links for you.
If you are interested in learning more about batteries/battery safety check out the blogs by @Baditude & @Mooch (two of ECF's battery experts).

Here are links to some of Mooch's blogs:
And a couple from Baditude.
Another essential read to understand which batteries are safe to use in mechanical and regulated mods. Includes a frequently updated list of recommended safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries with their specifications.
A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

BATTERIES - WHERE TO BUY

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

So which do I get? Warmer? Huh? my brain hurts.
It is a preference thing. Since you do not yet have one, DO get a few of each, and you will soon know which preference is yours! :)

To further complicate things, I like my fruit vapes cool, and my dessert/bakery vapes warm. ;) most important of all, just enjoy the discovery and adventure on your way to your own personal Nirvana. :)

I'm baaaaaack. And so thankful for all of y'all and the guys at MadVapes in Rock Hill, SC. I wound up getting some new Smok Clapton coils and some new absolute FAVORITE juices!! Joes flavorz fruity mix menthol, flavorz mint delight and Cloud 9 Pandoras Box. So surprised at how much I love menthol and fruity flavorz mixed- I hated menthol cigarettes and never thought I'd want fruity flavors!

Thank y'all so much for all the encouragement and info and links! Wahoooooo. So happy

I now totally get your point on the cool/warm thing. So happy with this juice I have. Love it.

I have to chuckle at this. I WAS a menthol smoker, and cannot ABIDE the taste of it in a vape. SO weird. I try to tell people who are looking to quit, do NOT try to emulate your present cigarette. You will find that your taste in Vape is SO different than your taste in smokes, and possibly even food in general!

Now that said, a couple of my faves, Mango Lassi and Boba Tea, I fell in love with as vapes, but had never tried the real items. When I did, I LOVED them too! :) What a fun adventure. ;)

no - crackling is juice vaporizing - as long as you have good juice flow and wicking is saturated, should be okay - typically, though, I will start at lower wattage and work my way up - so, if coil is rated for up to 70 watts, i will start around 40 and take a few vapes, bump it up 5 watts and repeat
