So I just got my Go Go kit yesterday and have been using it for less than 24 hours. So far, it's awesome, I love my Go Go, however I have one grip/question. One of things I noticed is when I'm first filling up the blank Go-carts they leak like crazy out the battery end. Usually a few minutes after I've dropped in 90-100 drops in the carts (not while I'm doing it, it usually will be a couple minutes after I dropped in the liquid), about 20 or so drops will leak right back out. The first time I filled it up, I didn't know this and a ton of juice leaked down onto the go go battery.

Is the battery sealed? Since then I've been very careful to make sure no more juice is leaking out of the go-carts before putting them on. However, sometimes, like the one I just filled up, I took it off and noticed it was still leaking a bit a juice so I had to take it off and blow into a paper towel to make sure it really wasn't going to leak.

I don't want to ruin the battery if juice leaks down into it if its not sealed. In my ecig lifetime I've ruined several KR8 batts because juice got down into battery :-/. Just wondering how careful I need to be here and if there's a better method for filling blanks. Right now I'm just dropping directly onto the filler from the top. Should I invest in a syringe for these? What's everyone else doing?

When filling a carto for the first time or if you vape it down to require a large refill, you should do it in sections so to speak. I use both the syringe method and the drip method to fill depending on what is most convenient. Whichever you use a couple of things suggested to do:

Put 20-25 drops at a time in and put the carto in the palm of your hand. Place your other hand over the first so the carto is in the middle and roll the carto back and forth a couple of minutes. This allows the juice to distribute more evenly into the filler.

Once you have 90 or so drops in or get the "tell-tale" drop out the bottom, do the roll just described. If you must use it right away, take a paper towel or napkin to cover the carto bottom and with the tip still off, blow into the carto and allow any juice that got into the tube or around the bottom the be blown out the connector hole.

Lastly, I always use the "thermometer shake". I am referring to old fashioned style thermometers that you have to grasp tightly and with a loose wrist, give the carto 6-8 harsh shakes down (with a covering to catch the excess). This does 2 things. It rids any excess that is pooled too much around the bottom of the filler and it settles the filler well around the coil which is at the bottom.

Sounds complicated but once you get a routine going, it takes less time to do than it does to read this. As to the battery, they are not truly sealed so juice can and will get inside the battery area proper. What I would suggest for the battery you were using when the big leak occurred is to sit the battery connector side down on a paper towel and let gravity work for you. If juice is allowed to drain out before it drys inside, chances of ruining a battery are much slimmer.

I would leave it like that for as many hours as you can and by using some or all of the suggestions above to clear excess, your GO-GO kit should be go-going for a long time! :)

I know how to fill a carto, I've been doing it for over a year now :). My issue with the Go-Carts is they leak like crazy. It's like the white fluffy stuff isn't strong enough to hold most juices and much of it runs out the bottom.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my Go Go and the Go-Carts, it's the best eCig I've ever used. My main gripe is filling the carts though, I've yet to fill one and not have tons of juice run out the battery end of the cartomizers. Like, I use to use Bloog cartos. I used those because they never leak when they are new, even if you over-fill them slightly on the first fill. It was clean and easy, the Go-carts are messy. I feel like Frank maybe needs to look at using a different filler material, something closer to Bloog, would make these perfect.

For now I'll deal, but filling the carts have been a pain in the ... and I lose a lot of juice due to leakage.

Those are some awesome tips your provided there Major S. ! :thumb:
Sounds like you have gained the personal experience and perhaps were well schooled from some of the original great masters from the Go-go Nation including: DevonMoonshire, Bobalex, greyrat,Txtumbleweed, mohawkx, wigglr,
rolandpibb,les017,Rachus...just to name a few!

I still have the best results using the syringe method which has been outlined very well in the Ego T vs. Go-go thread and elsewhere on the forum.

Very little juice is wasted with a little patience in filling. Often times I will be able to get in an extra .5ml after I let allow some extra time for the liquid to really soak into the filler. A paper towel or kleenex is always good for making sure any excess condensation is wiped off under the battery connection on cart before reattaching.

I do not like to waste my precious Honey Flue Cured tobacco when filling up any fresh or used carto so, I make sure that I keep all that tasty juice where it belongs inside the cart...all the more for me to vape!:p

Cheers,

Thanks for the kind words SSV2! :) That's what makes these forums so useful to so many. There are so many with so much knowledge, it's almost wrong to waste it. If a person can retain some of the good stuff from the masters, it puts one in a position to share and hopefully help new GO-GO'ers.

I know that their experience made it a lot easier for me to learn so hopefully, by sharing, others will be able to do the same as new generations of users come along. By the way, the knowledge that SSV2 guy has shared with us all is pretty awesome stuff. Take care my friend!
