There are lots of posts recommending you drink more water. I think it's a combination of two things:

1. Vaping (believe it or not) is a dryer experience than smoking. I think it's the PV that does it. I haven't tried VG juice, so I don't know if it's the same.

2. Most of us tend to vape way more than we smoked. I know I do.

I also ordered my dad a shorty kit for Christmas. He's been a smoker for about 20 or so years now, so I decided that it's about time that he stop, and I couldn't find any better way to do it than to get him one of these kits.

I ordered a kit for my father-in-law for the same reason. Did all this covert research into what flavor he liked to smoke and what battery color I should get. Pulled the trigger and ordered... and then like 10 minutes later my Mother-in-law calls and said he had bronchitis and was super sick and insisted that I not order him anything. Mark & Steve were kind enough to let me cancel my order, no problem.

I was bummed that I couldn't give him the kit but on the bright side he actually stopped smoking :D. Of course it took him being insanely sick and finally winding up in the dr.'s office (Texas men do NOT like the Dr.) to make him stop.

But if he starts up again I'm ordering him a PCC shorty kit asap.

Hopefully everything will work out, but I'm sure it will having read all the great reviews that Vapor 4 Life has been getting on here.

I think everything will work out great. It's a great, easy to use, high quality item you decided on and you have a lot of people here to offer you (and your dad!) all the support and encouragement you could ask for.

Welcome aboard, 1badbird. (BTW, I've got 1 bad bird, myself. ;) )

As you can see, there are lots and lots of great, helpful people here to answer any questions you may have. :)

To expand on what Taryn and Pawpaw said, PG is a humectant. It evens out moisture in its environment, so dry things get moist, and moist things, like throats and sinuses, get dry. Many people experience dry throats and mouths, and sometimes mild irritation, for the first few days until your body adjusts to it. Just keep drinking extra water until your body finds its balance.

Hey Justin, wher'da get that thingy under your posts that say how long you've been vaping and how much you saved and so on.....I've seen a lot of them and like it.

Sorry, you must have posted that after I logged off last night. Nyquil really did its job.

I would respond but I'm pretty sure that you got that worked out. ;)

Just took my first drag off of my new ecig and all I've got to say is wow.. It hits hard, feels just like a real cig and is just awesome! Thanks guys!

Glad to hear you're liking it!! Has your dad tried it yet? I'm asking because my fiance was a marlboro light smoker and he doesn't like any of the tobacco flavors, he prefers the sweeter flavors like Coconut cream pie, RY4, and his favorite English Toffee.
