Hey guys,

I met up with Cisco over the weekend, he's a really cool dude, lives practically next door to me.

Bought a 2.0ohm hh357 long barrel, and he even threw in a free drip tip!

After a couple of days, the atomizer is starting to run very hot, burning to the touch. Aside from that, vapor production has gone down a little bit, but the flavor has started to shine as an upside.

I'm following all of Hanna's advice on how to take drags and all, but something just isn't right here.

What am I doing wrong?

I'm using it on a Provari V2 at 4.2-4.6v, nothing higher.

I can see why some people get frustrated right out of the gate with these. I got a 2.0 regular barrel and a 2.0 long barrel this morning. I started with the regular, tweaked to all vg bakery type flavors. It was spitting hot juice at first. The air flow is radically "Airy" which is better than stiff. Vapor is pretty good and the flavor is descent. The juice spitting has calmed down throughout the day...I'm going to soak it in pga overnight and put on the long barrel. Honestly, if it keeps getting better the next three days I'm going to have a heck of an atty!

You may be having the same problem I'm experiencing with mine. I got a 2.5ohm about 3 weeks ago which measured at 2.6ohm at the start. On about the 5th day, it dropped to 2.2ohm and stayed there for awhile, then started dropping again. It has been slowly creeping down in ohms and is currently at 1.6ohm. I don't know why this is happening, or even if this kind of thing is normal for attys??? I wonder, have you been monitoring your ohms?

I wasn't aware this was an issue. Actually sounds weird like. Was it the V1 or the V2. I haven't checked the ohms on either of mine yet but they feel pretty close to 2.0. (V2)

I really have no way of knowing if it's V1 or V2. At the time of purchase, it mentioned on the site that there was no guarantee of getting a V2 while there were still V1s in stock - or something like that (at least other than the custom builds, if memory serves me). There's nothing on the paperwork which indicates either or, nor any indication on the atty itself as far as I can see. Other than calling Avid and asking, is there any way to discern V1 from V2?

I'm not sure either, I guess an email or something. The only reason I believe I got a v2 was because I paid the extra for custom.

Then you did get a V2 if you got it recently.

I have forgotten mine in the vodka over night a couple of times, but their recommendation is one hour. I read someone saying that alcohol can be tough on the seal... I haven't taken mine apart yet, so I'm trusting what I read and trying to remember not to leave mine overnight.

The big deal cleaning these is: 1) No Dry Burns - ever - period. And 2) Always blow out from the connector end and never through the open end. --- Many of the premature (and many of the not-so-premature) hh.357 deaths I've read about were caused either by dry burning or not keeping the coil wet enough while vaping.
