I'm as mellow as it gets these days and love me some pretty piano music. But then again I like to turn up the wick now and again. Been in a Hendrix kind of mood tonight. He inspired so many electric guitar players...perhaps more than any. There were two in particular that did him proud. Robin Trower and Frank Marino. This is what I have been listening to tonight. Frank could rip with the best of them. If you don't crank it up, don't bother. :)

Ok Becky, I am sorry for not posting more music of late...I was going through a rather quiet (for me) phase recently. Probably just my old bipolar d/o acting up, or rather, down!

Here are a few current favorites I have on near daily rotation, at least the bands, if not the specific songs:

Becky, and really anyone else into this style here, check this guy out, I've been listening to him for 5 or 6 years, and fall in love with his music all over again, and again each time. Particularly I recommend one of his earliest albums, "Songs for Devon Sproule."

Another realtively recent discovery on my part, firmly entrenched in my most listened to music these days. This is actually one of my least favorite songs on this album, but it is one of their singles and a major hit, so some of you may have heard this little ditty before:

Very excellent, CT! I also enjoy the SNZ & OM&M in my music library, and, I meant it, that Father John Misty cd is stellar...THANK YOU, again! A new cd to love honestly makes me feel just like my birthday has come early. Otis Redding and Ray Charles were such overwhelming gifts to mankind that I don't have words for it (and I tend to have words for everything:facepalm:). And that last Leonard Cohen cover was great, too. There sure are a number of great Cohen covers by female singers. Funny how it's worked out that way. It made me remember a couple others...

Keep 'em coming! And maybe some others in the Army will follow your lead...

Speaking of Robin Trower, saw them in Detroit on the Bridge of Sighs tour. Awesome!

If you don't have it cranked up, it ain't happenin'!!!
