So I got a sample pack a couple days ago from HHV which includes Dark Horse, Dragons Fire, Gaia, and Huntsman. I chose this vendor based on the outstanding reviews of their tobacco flavors. In fact, there is a NET thread on here somewhere where multiple people gave Dragons Fire their "best overall tobacco" award. I have so far tried Dark Horse and Dragons Fire. Here are my thoughts.

Dark Horse - tastes like a bowl of honey

Dragons Fire - tastes like a bowl of honey, with a tiny leaf of pipe tobacco in it. Almost like a dutchmaster.

I haven't even tried Gaia or Huntsman yet... I'm afraid to be thoroughly disappointed. Should I let these steep longer? Does anyone else think these flavors taste like there is WAY too much honey in them?

Taste, as they say, is subjective.

Dark Horse is the driest (less sweet) of the bunch and was the most grassy.

But, looking back to the beginning of my first year, I had ordered HHV within the first month of vaping from recommendations from the Natural Tobacco thread -- and it changed my expectations. All I was looking for was non-sweet, cigarette style tobacco and here came Heavenly ARMY, Legend, Dark Horse and Huntsman. I still vape 3 of those to this day, but really never got into Dark Horse. Huntsman just has more flavor, is bolder, and rocks my world. And the creamy tobacco of ARMY keeps me from ever wanting a cigarette.

But that is just me.

I find Dragon's Fire... meh. Not my thing either. But HHV has proven a winner to me, and I include about 6 of their liquids in my rotation.

Yeah I've ben looking for the same thing. I'm vaping on my Dragon's Fire atm and the honey flavor has definitely toned down a lot. It's still a little bit there, but very tolerable. I want to let them steep for a week or two but it's too tempting! I'm definitely gonna let the Dark Horse steep for a while. Hopefully Gaia and Huntsman will be more reminiscent of natural tobacco.

They make their juice fresh to order. I would recommend letting them sit. I have a 50ml of Dark horse that has been sitting about a month. It is still not ready, just starting to turn color. Some can vape out of the box but for me these juices need to steep. My Fav from them is Legend by far the best tobacco I have had.

I find HHV tobacco's are best after some steeping
I usually do overnight capps off and 3-6 weeks capps on depending on which
(Legend 3 weeks and huntsman 6 for example)

I really did not care for dragons fire it was too sweet and buttery

Legend Huntsman and serendipity are my favs from them

also like on occasion Heavenly army and Shadow

and probably try pirates booty next order

Yeah I was aware they make them fresh to order, which is certainly a good thing, but I got these in a sample pack. Their website says that sample flavors are only available in 70/30 at 12mg nic because they premix flavors for sample packs and just fill up the little 3ml bottles when someone orders it (please correct me if I'm wrong here). I'm gonna try my best to let them steep longer and see what happens.

Yea and I was told the same from them directly
So I did not expect to need to steep them either

but honestly my samples still needed steeping to reach its potential
maybe not as long a steep but close enough

I am sure there are times they are presteeped but
I'm sure when they get busy they are made fresh

whatever the case if you want to find out if these flavs are going to work for you
and want to give it a chance
then let it steep a little and drip a little week to week and see the changes

Yes you are correct but who knows when they made that batch to release for samples. If that batch was made say a couple of days before it was sent to you in that sample pack then it would stand to reason it needs to be steeped. Go by the color and taste is my be advise. Then again maybe you just don't like it and it will not matter how long you let it steep. I for one love it. :) Hope it gets better for you.
