I am back!!! Need to quit analogs for good this time. Started vaping 2009, off and on until 2014 where I left vaping and all my Ecigs, KGO's, E Liquids and other stuff behind.
Been through a lot of different emotional trauma, re: death of hubby (5/7/14)together since 1982 and then lost our son, David 19 yrs old 7 months later on Dec 10, 2014 to a fire in Enfield, CT...
For awhile I didn't care if I lived or died, but I finally came around to my senses realizing I still have my oldest son, Christopher, 32 and his daughter/my grand baby, Audrey, 7 yrs and my mom, 73 yrs old, so they are what is left of my family and they are my whole world right now, so I definitely would like to be alive to see my grand baby grow up to be a beautiful and smart young lady...
This is where ECigs and vaping come in (again)...However, it looks like things are wayyyy different from my vaping days..lol..and I now need to relearn everything all over again..lol..
So last month, I did pull out my old V2 ecig, and had some old EX Clearomizers left over, dusted them off, charged the batt and ordered me some Phillip Rocke Grand Reserve, after searching the web for the best hazelnut coffee tasting liquid, and Yummy..lol...Love it!!!However, I will be honest, I am still smoking the nasty cancer sticks because I don't feel 100% satisfied so I do need to look into a different battery, and thats were e cigarette forum comes in...Need to make sure I get the right ecig and the right e liquid so that this time I will quit those nasty "cancer sticks" for good...Thanks for letting me rambling. I look forward to browsing the forums and also will take any suggestions regarding batts, nothing to big, or complex though..lol..also I am looking for some tobacco e liquid that can come to tasting like my analogs: American Spirit, Ultra Light, non menthol...Thanks again, it feels good to be back amongst understanding peeps...Denise

Wow, really sorry to hear about your losses, I can't even imagine. I'm glad you're looking to get off the analogs though, that's a great decision. I would say looking into the classic Nautilus Mini and istick 40w would be a good place to start. Pretty small setup, great flavor and a very solid mouth to lung experience. I use the '1.8 ohm Triton Mini clapton coils' in mine(fancy name I know, but easy to find) and they've been fantastic. I'm not very familiar with a lot of tobacco flavors, once I switched to vaping I've been enjoying the variety of flavors out there and just haven't used to many tobacco's. Welcome back.

Suggest you consider Eleaf istick 40 TC with a hybrid RDA or plain RDA. Much more room to expand upward or downward with and light on the pocketbook. Might like to read:

I'm at: high ohm,MTL, low watt vaping Magma deep well RDA. Maximum taste and minimum e-liquid (I DIY) consumption, and this seems to be my sweet spot. The deep well and settings above give a good 45 min. to hour vape without re dripping. Virtually next to nothing costs on wire and new rayon wick.
Sub ohm'g is good for lots of folks but not all. Whatever works for you.

If your vape id not satisfying the craving.

Get a Juice with higher nicotine level and vape that when you feel you really realy want a stinkie. Most people want an analog first thing in the morning and after dinner

Welcome back Denise. You are obviously a very strong determined woman. You Will Succeed!

So many great options for you nowadays(almost too many)

The suggestions above are solid.
May I add one more possibility, it's fairly simple and a plug and play device and check out that price!!!! eGo AIO Quick Start Kit By Joyetech

It may be worth trying. Cheers.

Yeah, the AIO really is an excellent device as well and very inexpensive for what you get. Also makes a very solid backup or on the go device and can be found for about $17. I've really been enjoying it for on the go.

Yes Yes!!! This is the hardest for me because I want that taste of tobacco too. That has been the hardest for me is to find a tobacco ejuice that even comes close to the taste of a real cig..Thanks for your input and suggestion..Much appreciated :)

Hi Press..Yes I was looking at that one and it was 17 bucks which is right around my budget...lol...I was a homemaker and hubby was the bread winner so times are a tough for me right now..Thank God for mom but she's on her own too so I don't want to ask her to much for help seeing how she just retired and should be spending her money on herself and not supporting me right now..lol..but anyways thanks so much very appreciated..Denise

Thank you for the suggestion and actually when I stopped vaping I had a KGO, purple too!! and would use the tanks with the bottom coils and would even change the inner part so I could reuse them..but my son, the one who passed, got a hold of it and he sort of broke it lol..but anyways I wasn't crazy about some of those tanks with bottom coils because they would leak so much it was so discouraging, disappointing, and dam messy..lol...
So I am hoping that the bottom coiled tanks have been much improved by now..lol..Anyways thank you for the welcome and the suggestion..much appreciated..Denise

Welcome back dear! Coming back from a hiatus myself. Very sorry to hear of your losses, I can't imagine!

But I do understand things not working well, I suffer from chronic pain myself. I'm loaded up on some of the strongest pain killers known to man right now.
But it sounds like you are in the same boat as I am, you "need" that instant gratification and regular ejuice just doesn't get you there! Look at some NET juices, Naturally Extracted Tobacco. Heather's has some decent choices. If you REALLY want the taste of an analog, go with some Dark horse. I am a huge tobacco fan, but it's even too much for me! I had to step down to the Dragon's fire, it's still a strong tobacco, with a bit of (to me at least) dark chocolate. Others say it's a sweet chocolate, so it's subjective. But it's smoother, and I can vape it. The Dark horse, I'm choking it down!
I'm at 36mg, again with the pain thing, I can go anywhere from 1-5 plus packs a day when the weather is changing around here.
Also get ready to do a lot of research! Man has the gear changed in a short amount of time! I remember complaining about all the issues that sub-ohm vaping was bringing on, not EVERYTHING is set up that way! It's very hard to find much that's "old school" vaping, meaning mouth to lung, or MTL, as it's called now.
Good luck going forward, and I'll be more than happy to help you get going, but as I say, I'm learning it all over again myself!

I'm a newbie here and I admire your drive and dedication to take care of yourself after so much tragedy. Getting off cigarettes is a huge step in moving forward, especially with a granddaughter you would love to see grow up.

I know it's hard to find a tobacco flavor that matches cigarettes, and I'm still trying out different juice. Still, I've been lucky that after starting on disposables/cartridges and now with a simple eGo type pen with a truly entry level clearomizer I am cig free over 5 months.

It's also hard to decide what a step up would be from where I am. As a real MTL user (is that a tootler?) it feels like all the new and shiny stuff is for sub ohm and cloud chasing. I've even found that shopping online for juice I'll see something nice at a good price and then find it only is offered in high VG version. Right now I'm leaning towards an iStick Pico, which is a nice size and has a replaceable battery and pairing it with a Nautilus Mini with a "high ohm" coil. I'll still keep my pen styles as backups for something easy to travel with, but that Pico might be small enough to meet that need too.

Regardless of what setup you decide on and what juice meets your needs, it's wonderful you're now caring about your own health after all that loss.

Hi. I started on a KGo after failing to the tune of 800 dollars on the 'fools gold' that was cigalikes promising 40 cigarettes per cartomizer. I hate those brands, it's hard to believe they are still getting away with it. Even with 24mg I struggled. Today, I'm mildly subohming (23 watts) with a Kanger Subvod (1300 not the mega) and 6mg does the job. As you go up power you should find satisfaction and enough nicotine. :)

I started on a cigalike as well. I found Vuse did the trick, but at $6.99 a 2 pack, I knew I had to change. The good thing I will say about it was it contained 48 mg nic, which may be why I was able to transition. I will say that now with a little vape pen, a 24 mg liquid is more than enough. And with ejuice, I can keep lowering the nic content to wean down. I can see myself continuing to vape even at very low nic levels just to satisfy the 30 year conditioning of inhaling something so I'm never tempted to switch back to cigs again.
