Hello all! So I've been vaping for nearly 4 weeks now, with an innokin cool fire and an invoking isub tank. This is a sub ohm setup, I currently use it on 7 watts. Using 12mg liquids.
I bought it from a shop who did not explain sub ohm to me, I asked for a simple kit so I could quit my 20 a day smoking. This thing has been nothing but stress, it burns my throat and lungs on exhale and lately I've been coughing like mad.
With some research I've found that sub ohm vaping is not a beginner's thing, I don't want some fancy kit I just want a pleasurable experience quitting.
Can anyone suggest how to adjust this beast to my needs, or whether I should sell the thing and get a simple disposable cig kit?

Hello @Neil92 and welcome to the forum. You could start by cutting the nic level in half. 12 mg in a sub tank can be very harsh, though I'm surprised 7 watts will power it much. I wouldn't sell either, especially the mod. You might try getting a cheap tank like the GS Air by Eleaf. I'm not up on the models they have, but you'd want one with a 1.8 or higher ohm coil and a glass tank. I usually recommend an Aspire Nautilus Mini as a great tank for a beginner. It would work well on the Coolfire. The coils for it come in 1.6 or 1.8 ohm vertical coils.

Good luck in your journey.

If you have a lot of juice in 12mg, you can buy the same flavor in a zero nic strength and "combine equally" effectively cutting the nic level in half.

Here's a pic of the Coolfire with a Nautilus mini (more for mouth to lung vape)
