Hi all! Does it ever end?

I've been smoke free and vaping for 6 months now. I started with V2 cigalikes and moved to V4L Zeus batteries. The last 2 months I've been using the 20w iSitck and nautilus Minis. So yesterday my 50w iStick came in the mail and I'm waiting for the Kanger Subtank Mini to get back in stock to order that. At this point I feel I should be good for a while. I just feel like in 6 months time I've upgraded a lot and and hope I can stay with this setup without the need to feel like I need to upgrade again.

Welcome to ECF, ChipMac, and congrats on 6 months smoke free. That's quite an accomplishment! Many folks upgrade once or twice during their first few months of vaping, and some don't. Those that do tend to have found that they want more flavor, more vapor production, or both. Of course, some folks just get a case of "shiny-itis"! Here's the good news: the set up you are going to - a good 50 watt PV and the Subtank mini - is a great setup. Plenty of power, great flavor, and reliable. If you decide that you want to build, the Subtank will allow you to do that, as well. No, you won't need to upgrade anything. But you may chose to, anyway :)

I started on an eGo style device. Moved up to a spinner with some kanger tank that was popular at the time, then bought an mvp v2, then got a nautilus, lost my mvp bought another ego, then found my mvp and wanted to start cloud chasing and bought a 26650 mod and didn't like dripping, then I bought a sig 150watt and a Diablo (I know I went back to dripping, maybe I didn't like mech mods? But wait) at the same time I had ordered a Reo Grand LP. And I settled with that. I bought all the previous mods within a month or two of each cause I got bored of what I had. I've been using the Reo for almost two months with the same RM4 I bought with it and even though it's a mech I love it and really don't have any desire to get anything else other than maybe a different regulated bottom feeder. It stopped there for me, some people like my friend stopped buying new products with his ipv2. Just depends man.

Thanks for the welcome. I thought I'd be happy for a long while with the istock 20w and the Nautilus minis but I wanted to see if sub ohming is for me. I picked the Kanger subtank mini because I figured I could use the 1.2ohm coils if it wasn't and I'd still be happy. It also holds more juice than the Nautilus mini so I can stop refilling as much. Finally with the rba deck I can try making my own without buying something else down the road. All this made it a safe choice after weighing my options.

Welcome, ChipMac!

Short answer, NO! Matter of fact, I already see in your future another mod and/or tank as backups to what may become your favorite vape. Makes changing flavors much easier.

Well that was another justifying factor in getting the 50w. Now I have that and the 20w and I won't need to swap tanks all the time on the 20w. Besides the 2 iSticks I still use my V4L Zeus batteries even though they're a lot less powerful but they come in handy at certain times where simple is better. I don't see myself getting another mod but maybe a tank that holds 5ml+ for those times I want to go a whole day without refilling.
