I just started vaping again after being frustrated about a year ago and throwing everything in the trash.. The kit I just received came with 24mg and that is waaaay to high for me. I am trying 16mg and have 11mg on order to see where my comfort zone is. I have high hopes this time with my new Go-go. Never realized how crappy my previous ecigs were until I tried this thing.

I think nic strength is also dependent on the rig you use. When I was on carts I used 18 mg juice, no problem. Once I switched to Genesis system, 18 killed me. I went down to 12, then down to 8, where I currently reside. I think the thickness of the vapor using Genesis is a much greater volume then the carts I was using.

Oh yes, that is super important...

I did learn the issue I was having was 2 fold...

1. Vaping 18 like a fiend... the new found ability to vape indoors meant I was consuming a TON more nicotine than my old smoking habit provided...

but possibly more importantly...

2. I switched from high PG to 100% VG and have not had a problem since.... I think the main issue I was having was a PG sensitivity.... I totally found it by accident as I switched to VG because I found a cheaper local mom & pop shop and that's all the carry LOL

Interesting thread.

I started on 24mg liquid. It turns out I vape like a crazed monkey when I'm working. After lots of headaches and tiredness, I dropped down to 18 or 12 mg juice.
I definitely get less headaches from this now. However, I find if I can't chain vape when I want, I start to get moody or snappy.

I might need two rigs, a quick hitter rig with heavy nic content, and a desk chain vape rig...

Typed on my mobile. Please excuse typos.

I've considered picking up one of the eGo 350mah minis with a Vision, with a high nic level(24mg) for those times when i need a quick fix...

i mean it's soooo tiny and portable...

I smoked camel lights 15-20 a day and found 18 to be way to high for me got sick 2 nd day after got my kit w a stardust vaped 1 ml by the tank markings in about 4-5 hours and was done for. Took me 2 weeks to get used to it i was getting a high feeling every day.. now I have 14 mg and plan on going 12 and keeping an 18 on the side. I was smoking the same amount. I was doing a draw and then inhale. I think the delivery is higher with vaping depending on how you vape it

I agree with the people who know 18 mg is not too high especially for someone who is just quitting cigs. Read some helpfully blogs here on EFC to understand the differences in the vaping v/s smoking availability of the nicotine. You might be associating some withdrawal from nicotine symptoms with too much, like feeling wired basically but then again everybody is different and I really don't know for sure but it does sound strange

This was an interesting conversation for this newbie. I started with 24mg, but now find that I'm using 18mg in the morning and late evenings and 24mg during the day. Former regular red smoker here.

When drinking, I am vaping almost constantly, but my buddy Jack Daniels  typically smoked a whole pack of analogs through me anyway.

This discussion is very interesting to me as a fellow newbie.

I've been vaping for a little over a month and found that the 12mg nicotine was far too low to keep my analog cravings at bay. I used to smoke American Spirit "Lights" (the yellow) and when a friend who smoked Marlboro Reds would bum a smoke they would cough and choke and get light headed even though they always smoked many more a day than I did and usually 2-3 to my one on a smoke break. Maybe the less messed around with tobacco had a higher base line nicotine? Anyway, I just got a bottle of 24mg ejuice and now the cravings are all gone. I imagine I'll drop down after a little while but right now, I'm just glad the analogs are out of my head.

I was a AS Yellow smoker also. Got a bottle of 36mg just in case (WAY too strong) and various different 24mg to start with. After 1st week and lots of reading discovered HHV, and bought mostly 18mg as I find I vape more than I smoked (This stuff TASTES better than smoking!). Now I switch between 18/24 mg depending on time of day, at work, etc..
