You can do a quick double puff, I imagine? But.... why? Are you heavily constrained by time limits at work, and/or trying to win some sort of trophy? Is this a taste thing? You know, over time, you're going to taste stuff more, right? I mean, at first, my sense of smell/taste was much less than it is now. However, if you've choked to death on vapor, there won't be time for that to happen :) Also, please leave a meaningful, deeply thought out note around with a reasonably suitable excuse--- Like, vape in the bathtub so that after you choke, you'll then "drown" --- maybe tie your vape implement to the ceiling with some rope, so it can dangle above and the coroner won't be able to proclaim it an e-cig related death, you know? :) I'm kidding, of course, but breathing is, you know, necessary.

I recently got an AL85 kit and found it took awhile to change my vaping technique. I was so used to my nautilus mini and running 9 watts, 50/50 juice at 24mg nic.

With the AL85 am running 55 watts with 50/50 juice and 12 nic.

the first couple of days with the Al85 I was coughing like crazy, found shorter harder pulls with air control wide open worked well for me.

The AL85 works well for me this way because, I was looking for a way to get more nic in a shorter time frame. Had found the only way I did not crave a cig with the lower watt rig would be if I was hitting it every 3-5 min, not able to do that at work so am still using the analogs but the AL85 with the 12 nic juice has cut cig count in half already and have only been using it for 2 weeks now.

hope this helps

That can be a tough switch, and I'm sorry you are so constrained at work. I'd think inhale-exhale, DL for now, but if double puffs suit you, in all seriousness, as long as you are comfortable with your vape and not getting short of breath, of course you can vape however you want :) As far as work is concerned, single use bathrooms are great for vaping in, though a) no I didn't just say that b) don't get caught, clouds may be a bit much and c) you do have harm reductions for work if you want off the analogs quicker, like SNUS, or even traditional nic replacement like lozenges if you're having a really hard time. I can go longer and longer without vaping the more I do it, but also, no smoking cigs, that ruins that effect for me (and it's only been a few weeks). I'm lucky, my work knows I vape in my office and no one cares.... That being said, unless your work is totally draconian, I might push my luck a bit, but that's me personally and I know if my Big Bad Boss caught me, he'd probably have to write me up. You do get a couple chances, being caught without termination, it may be different where you are (and I use a small, MTL tank). I STILL use other forms of nic replacement if I'm going to be in a 5 hour meeting or something.... That may be something to consider-- annoying, expensive but as a temporary measure to get off cigs? I am more than fine with that.

Best of luck with your new setup!

BTW.....in reply to other posts:

1) Yes I have a deep-breathing problem but I have to break that habit and train to breathe normally. You know what happened, when I came to Malaysia years ago, the govt warned the public that the air was so bad, try not to breathe so deep. So i got the habit of being a shallow breather and thats WRONG because thats how I got a collapsed lung. I need to do those what, "deep breathe from the diaphragm" exercises. So, my aim is NOT to continue to just breathe in just a little.

2) A few years ago at a Taiwan airport, I was smoking and they called the flight and so I hit the cig hard and breathed in as deep as I could. I did that about 3 times and nic hit so hard I was stumbling. Nic works fast. But I have never felt any nic effect at all in any vaping. Thats why I felt compelled to buy 18mg, so I Id be assured of getting something. But that event also showed that in my normal shallow breathing, im not taking in much of anything.

3) Its looking like I will need low-nic juice AND a tank which accepts +ohm coils. I will search back but its looking like Nautilus. I will shop online and see whats available..maybe online juice too. I was hoping for a shop so I could show them the leaking SMOK tank and see what to do about that problem.

I own the Nautilus 2 tank, and it's great. I use both the 1.8 coils and the 0.7 coils with the exact same wattage, air flow closed off some, and it's pretty much a smoother, nicer vape and my coils don't gunk as much. A little more battery usage, and *slightly* more juice? I have to wait until I change my coil to know for sure, that may be a bit away... The only thing I'd note about the Nautilus is that I have to not overfill it and also close my airflow holes if I'm travelling as they *occasionally* leak. But it's really my favorite tank that I've run accross with EITHER coil. I'd recommend it for a work situation, maybe even 2 of them so you can go out and DL, while taking shallow hits with the 1.8 coil at work.... I'm sorry about your lung collapse, my dad used to get them and they are not fun....

Back on tanks....i have revised juice coming but on tanks, Nautilus here are advertised as MTL, sub-ohm tanks. Isnt that what im trying to avoid? Some of the tanks mentioned here are not available, and likewise what is available are tanks and coils people in US have likely never heard of.

If im going to change tanks and coils to one more suitable for a new vaporer, instead of my baby beast/0.6, what are the qualities im looking for in descriptions of tanks? I know we are going for +ohm coils, like 1.5, 1.8, but the tanks?

A picture is worth some words so here is a typical local site. Can anyone recommend one here?
