Hi
I am a new to the forum but not Ecigs country girl. I am recently widowed and spend my time watching movies, quilting & crocheting. I have a business page on Etsy & Facebook. My children and Sugar Gliders are my world. I am just a simple, kind, caring country girl, who loves to take care of people and animals. Also love to cook, crochet, quilt, and sew. Hope to make new friends here and get some help on a few things also. :)

I was on here last week checking out what all were saying about great places to get E juice online. So after reading a while I bought; Banana Nut Bread, Jamaican Rum, Caramel Coffee, German Chocolate Beefcake, and Maple Pecan (NO EXTRA FLAVOR SHOTS) from Mt Baker Vapor.

My question is.... How long do you usually let them steep. They were made on OCT. 26, and I tried a couple of them this morning on the 31st. Neither had much taste at all. Really disappointed, I don't want to leave them a bad review till I find out if maybe I am trying too quick? Needed to get extra flavor shots? Or what the problem is.
I am using an Ego T 1100mAh with a smok Tech GBC 3Ml tank, with a 1.9ohm bottom coil, and a slotted Beauty Ring.

Any help on this will be soooo greatly appreciated, I have spent quite a bit of money and I am hoping it is just something I can do different to use them, rather than ditch them all and start over:(

Thanks so much and have a great day!! :)

Welcome Lauralee! I'm a big fan of Mt Baker. While some of their stuff is fine right out of the mailbox, I think the juices you have listed will probably take at least a couple of weeks to 'ripen'. Give 'em a good vigorous shaking a couple times a day. There are tricks to speed up the steeping process but I haven't personally tried them.

Post some pics of your Sugar Gliders when you can.

You can speed up steeping by placing the bottles in hot water for a few hours.. Not too hot.. I would put them in a baggie to keep the labels dry before you do this and then not boiling water but where steam is coming off the water.. shake again.. then let sit for a few days.. That will give them a good head start.. :)

And if you have a ultrasonic cleaner that is even better and will really speed up steeping.. Drop your bottles in the tub and let it do its things for about an hour.. then wait a couple of days.. other than that, time will take care of it for you. fresh made juice almost always takes a week to steep out. some tobaccos take a few weeks.

The only 2 out of the ones you ordered that we have tried are the German Chocolate Beefcake and the Maple Pecan. My daughter liked the German Chocolate Beefcake straight out of the mailbox, and we have reordered it a couple of times, and will get it again in the future. I have ordered the Maple Pecan several times, and really like it.

If you have other eliquids that you can use in the meantime, I would let them steep for a week or two, and then try them again. If you don't have anything else you can use, you can try speed steeping and see how that goes. I have never tried speed steeping, but I have seen quite a few posts where people have had success in bringing eliquids around to a point where the eliquids were quite vapable to them. Good luck.

Great!! Thanks so much!! I knew that I had read where enough of you use Mt Baker that surely there was some that would help. I do have some from my local vape shop that I have gotten to hold me over, just really excited about the new flavors. but if that is what it needs then I will wait a couple weeks. I will also try all that you all posted, shaking, open in the dark, and heating up a little. With all that, they should be great in a couple of weeks.
Again thanks so very much!!

I order from Mt Baker too, I love their black licorice. Don't be afraid to try other vendors as well. You'll find a lot discussed on the General E-liquid board and right now, there's a vote going on for the all time favorites of the year. You'll see a lot of the same vendors mentioned, yet you'll also see some different tastes and ideas. You can review it here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-vaping-discussion/619139-best-ecf-2014-a.html.
