I am so totally new to vaping. Only 3 days without an anolog. I know I have a long way to go but as long as I can vape I will be fine. I did not turn to e-cigs for myself. I have smoked for 40 yrs and really enjoyed it. I was the last in my family to have the nasty habit of smoking. I could not smoke in anyone's car or house so I was alone..:( I finally made up my mind to try e-cig for my family. As a newbie I got on the internet (first mistake) and ordered from the first co. I found and payed double for my kit. After the fact, I researched more and found this forum. I am still confused but with the help of you all I will finally learn how to take 1 day at a time. My family is very supportive and this forum is amazing. Thank you all for posting so much info......:)

Welcome! We were all noobs at one point and I know I paid a premium for mines as well, but if it works to get you off the mokes that's all that matters! Not sure where you're located in IL, but there is a Windy City Vapers club that meets, if you do a search you should be able to find them.

What kind of kit did you get? There are lot's of helpful folks here to help ya, just let us know!

hth! ;)

Vchick makes some good points, many of us stared of with an overpriced e-cig kit, but I'm happy I did as it got the ball Rolling per say! Part of the fun in your journey will finding the setup and flavors that you really enjoy! Congratulations on making the choice to experiment with e-cigs! You will have allot of fun with it!

Welcome, welcome - I'm totally new to vaping also (I'm on day 7, although I have had a few analogs each day so far). I haven't put them down entirely yet (3-4/day - better than a pack!), but I did find that when I lit one up last night it kind of made me nauseous and dizzy, and the smell really got to me, so I guess I'm on the right track.

Welcome to ECF. Sounds like you are off to a pretty good start. I quit analogs 1 1/2 years ago because my children were begging me to quit smoking. Never thought I would quit smoking cuz I loved it. Discovered the e-cigs and haven't been happier. It has been quite journey. You will find that there are a lot of people on this forum that will provide you with a lot of great info and advice - so feel free to ask questions and I'm sure you will get plenty of responses. Hope you enjoy your vaping adventure as much as I have been!

First Welcome, you'll find tons of advice and clarification on kits, rigs, and all the general ecig stuff you could possibly want to know on this forum. I went from overpriced 7-11 stuff, to Rebuildable attys in 2 short months. The leap of knowledge, skill, and general confidence in product purchasing was tremendous. I just started reading all I could here. People will jump to help and I try and do the same because of the indebtedness I feel for all given me. As for using tobacco, well done on trying to put that evil stuff away. You will find your desire drying up once you find your sweet spot on vaping. I smoked a cigar after several months of vaping and was sick for the rest of the day, this from an old guy who could smoke 5 or 6 a day, without batting an eye, a short while back.

My spiel is:
I feel better
I smell better
I taste better
I talk better ( no rasp)
I am a better person (not poisoning those around me)
I smile better ( dentist has noticed a significant reduction in my teeth staining)
I look better (personal observation ;) )
I breath so much better ( I mean remarkably improved)

Anyway good luck and welcome.
