New to ECF, 2 years vaping enthusiast.

Started out with cigalikes, then moved on to 510s, then onto Spinners. With these batteries I have not been able to move away from cartomizers due to lack of vape, flavor, or power when trying out tanks and the like.

I have not been successful of finding the right clearo or tank and actually decided to upgrade to VV/VW mod. I am considering a VTR or MVP. Any suggestions on tanks/clearos, wattage, resistance, etc? What is your sweet spot, what is your preferred tank/clearomizer on the MVP or VTR?

Kanger Pro Tank II are my favorites. There's some that love them and some that hate them. I have not tried the MVP or VTR. I use the Sigelei Legend and love it. I use it in VW mode so if the resistance of my heads change, the power stays the same. I vape around 6.8W. I have been using the standard 2.5 Ohm coils that come with the tanks, but plan on switching to lower resistance as these wear out. I have had to be vigilant about keeping the coils clean and have purchased extra flavor wick for replacements to keep the coils going longer. But overall I'm very happy.

Good luck in your search and welcome to ECF!

Welcome to the forum.

The VRT comes with an iClear 30S, which is very good.

The MVP2 comes with an iClear 30, which is also good, but perhaps not quite as good as the 30S.

I suggest you go with what comes with your preferred unit for awhile to see if you like them.

I tried a ProTank 3 on both my VTR and MVP2 but quickly switched back to the iClears.

YMMV

between here and there
Welcome to ecf.

If you don't mind the MVP2 being a little longer than a pack of smokes. Then look here.

Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape

the black grain is extra sharp looking. I have one and I love it.
and for the tanks go here and scroll down the page
Clearomizers - 101 Vape

I recommend the protank II reg or mini. both work great.

easy to use and can get a box of replacement heads for 6 bucks. Best prices I have seen yet.

disclaimer... no affilation to company....just good prices and fast shipping.

:)

I have no preference between the two, I was just looking for a box mod, if that's what they call them. Your answer was very helpful, thanks!

101Vape looks pretty cheap in comparison with other vendors, thanks for the heads up! As of now I hear a lot of buzz about the Protank II and the iClear 30. That has really narrowed my choices, wish I came here earlier :).

Wow, the Sigelei Legend looks amazing! Are you trying to make things complicated for me? ;)

Thanks, your answer was very helpful, especially about the resistance and wattage. VW and VV is used independently/separately? So it's either or?

I've had some experience with the protank IIs another good tank to look into is the Anyvape Davides they come on minis and full size tanks, and it's a lot easier to find replacement parts for incase you drop it at that right angle where it breaks. I will say though since my preference for 1.8ohm coils I would ditch the coils that come with the Davide as the resistance is to much for my liking.

I haven't had hands on with a sigelei legend but I have a Sigelei Zmax V3 and I love it. Especially more than the V5 as my V5 bit the dust and gave me constant problems the V3 feels and works flawlessly for me.

Looks like a nice setup you got there. Whenever I messed around with my Vision Spinner, I only used 1.8Ohm heads as well. I just felt though that the Spinner lacked power somehow, as if the power would diminish during the button press. And it was always the choice between Vapor and Flavor. Thanks for posting!

Hello and Welcome to ECF :)

Maybe with Black Friday and cyber Monday coming you can get both, the MVP and VTR lol
Well I hope which ever one you pick hits your sweet spot

The VTR came with a iClear 30s that's what I use on that. I like it better then the iClear 30 that came with my MVP v2.0
But I am new and don't know anything about making coils and I am lazy and both them tanks are easy to put new coil heads on. lol
I also think the MVP looks better to me with a smaller tank on it but again that whole being lazy thing kicks in and a bigger tank means more time between fills lol

Well I wish you Best of Luck and Best of Vapor to you!:vapor:

Hello and Welcome to ECF :)

That's a nice set up you got. I got a Anyvape Davides Mini, I wanted a gold tank for a KTS Mech Mod and they come in gold and silver. It's a nice little tank, but only had eGo threading so I had to buy a 510 adaptor. But it still looks good to me.

Thank you sir.

Like I said, it is the MVP 2.0 for now, thus will be using the iClear30. If that doesn't work for me I will be going for the Protank II or iClear30s. And again, I am open for suggestions. I'm glad I was ably to find something, now hope for the best.

Good choice on the MVP2, should last 3 days (or almost, depending on vaping) on one full charge.
I hope you don't vape any tank cracker juice... iClear30 is pretty good (from what I hear), but if you like hot cinnamon stuff or citrus stuff (sometimes even menthol stuff), you might want to consider a glass tank or this
I do like Kanger products, so I might be a bit biased.

I just took delivery of my MVP 2 yesterday, being a noob to vaping myself I've also got the 1300 mah spinner. It did seem a bit gutless running 3.5 ml DCT's with 1.8 ohm carts, but the MVP has no problems.

BUT, I also got a couple of Kumho BCC glass tanks to try (iTank), so far these are awesome even with the 2.4 ohm coils. I;ve changed one of the tanks over to the 1.8 ohm coil, now that's vapour. The even still work awesome on the spinner and my original 1100mah ego King doesn't start flashing due to over discharge. The iTanks are my fave at the moment but I've got a lot more to try yet...lol

Seems like ecig gear is a bit like tattoos, if you're getting one to impress others, you're getting it for the wrong reason. It's a personal choice.

Good luck on finding your Vaping Nirvana.

Thanks for the advice. Haven't thought of that. I mainly use vanilla and coffee type flavors.
