You can add me to the former smoker turned vaper list
Thanks to a friend giving me his spare batt and a really good local B&M vape shop I think I'm more hooked on this than I was analogs. So many good flavors, so little tank space. The problem for me is getting consistent vapes so I still have some trials to get through. I've already switched to an ego twist from a set volt ego and find that better since you can control the coil temp through the voltage for different juices. Gone from plastic top coil cleros to using a carto tank and mini protank 2(2.2 ohm coils work best on this for me)
I may get into mod like a pro vari or evic later on but for now the easy travel of the ego set up fits since I'm on the road 8+ hours a day and cant drip while driving anyway. I know the protank coils can be rebuilt and I already retune every factory coil to fix the inconsistent winds. I build heating coils for various types of heating systems in my work so its not a big leap for me but I can use some direction on what to use.
Are there any RBA tank atty's that can be used on an ego and are similar in size the the protank? I have some 28awg and 32awg Kanthal A1 as well as some 2mm silica and some ecowool to start experimenting with once I get some protank coils stocked up for rebuilding. Is there anything else I should have or things I need to do with the wick before I use it in a coil? Any specific brands of wick material that are best to use?
I should add that I'm a flavor chaser and don't care about mimicking a theatrical smoke machine
Nothing irritates me more than a flat overcooked hit.
