Hi I'm new here so first off I'd like to say hello, I've been vaping for around a year, mixing my own liquids, rebuilding atties etc but only recently got into mods. So I've just bought an svd, had it 2 weeks, very happy with it but it makes a buzzing sound from the fire button. Sounds like a tattoo artists gun. I'm not getting a shock or anything, and there's not any strange behaviour as far as functionality, but I'm just wondering if I should be concerned. It happens on all my tanks and clearos. I'm in 18650 mode, using aw imr, 2.0 ohm at 8 watts. Any help would be great, thanks :)

It sounds like there's a bad contact and your getting some sparking or magnetic action between the power button and the contact it's supposed to make.

That's not normal and could be dangerous.

Have a courteous discussion with the vendor and see if it can be exchanged.

Ps it the button only makes this noise when I've got a carto or tank connected which is strange

Battery MOD will not fire without the tank attached. But when it is firing, it's making the noise! The circuit or the bottom itself is shorting something inside of the MOD. Hence it's the MOD that is having trouble.

Good luck
