Hi, so I just got a vamo v2 while I wait for my svd to be replaced due to a fault. I've read a lot on this device and understand that it should be set to no2 or rms mode. Problem is, when I do this the vape is really really weak. I'm using a protank. If I set it to 7 watts which was my sweet spot on the svd I get virtually no vapour, I get more vapour on my twist set at 3.4v. It's giving correct ohm readings. If I set it to no1 mode or mean, it vaper perfectly. I don't understand it. Is it safe to use in mean mode? Also if it's in mode 2 and I use volts instead of watts it vapes fine, very strange. Any help would be appreciated, cheers

Devices do not work exactly the same.
Every one will vary according to design

SVD may well be LESS regulated, and from all the power comments I believe it is less regulated in output.
Basicly you have compared and pretty much verified the power spiking as related to the Vamo in AVG mode.
For a much better Vape use the most stable power regulation and find the point where it gives you the most satisfaction without over powering.
I have devices that work both ways and the well Regulated always wins my favor............Always.

As to No1 - no danger
It would not be there if not useable

Just had a go at 10 and it's better, is there actually any danger in using it in mean mode, I prefer the vape in that mode to be honest, thanks

Normally it is. I think you may have got a faulty unit. I run Protanks at 6.5 watts.

ETA:
Just to expand on this, you mentioned that it was OK when you set by volts. If you are setting the voltage that would give the expected wattage, but setting the wattage gives a different vape, then something is wrong.

eg: I have a 2.2 ohm coil. 6.5 watts on a 2.2 ohm coils would be 3.8V. It doens't matter on my Vamo if I set 3.8V or 6.5W, the vape is the same as you would expect.
