Hi, my friend has just told me about e-cigarettes and I am very interested in giving it a try. The only thing is I don't know where to start. I want to start with something cheap just to see if I like it. I don't see the point nor have i got the money to spend money on something that I won't use. Any advise will be helpful :) thanks

Oh and I'm in the UK so if linking could it please be UK sites.
Thanks again :)

Hi and welcome to ECF. After 5 posts wait 1 hour for the ECF servers to reset and you can post in the UK Forum Chrissie is also in the UK and I'm sure she could point you in the right direction.
If you have any questions or wish to welcome others it's an easy way to get 5 posts. How long have you been smoking?
Cheers.

Cool. I smoked very strong analogs for 44 yrs and tried everything possible to quit. Once lasted 6 months on the patch but was completely miserable. Thank Gawd for vaping.

I've only been smoking for 4 years. I've tried quitting before but my partner also smokes and he wouldn't give up. I'm hoping this is something we can both do to give up. And thanks for your replies :)

Hello & welcome Reevi, I'm just over the Tamar from you, in Cornwall :D

If you really want to just try an e-cig out, this is a good one to go for as it's rechargeable & has a standard 510 thread. OK, it's only got the one battery, so wouldn't normally recommend it to a newbie - but could be ideal for you to just try out. Then if you like e-cigs, you can buy a full kit & keep this as a spare. Use discount code ECF10 for 10% off -

Hi Reevi, you can also have a look at this if you're feeling more adventurous:

Sorry Reevi, I think the site is censored on ECF - I'm not sure why, but you can google the title and it should come up.

900 mAh Mix n Match tester kit

Have Fun and Welcome:)

Moderators apologies in advance, no offence meant.

I think that's the perfect setup. Reevi255 could try it out and although wouldn't have a spare battery it would give OP the chance to experiment. One last word of advice. When the battery runs out and needs charging don't feel bad about lighting up an analog...my belief is and always will be vaping is a pleasurable and healthy alternative to smoking and should not be stressful.
Cheers and the Best of Luck to You and Yours.
Kudos X 10 to Chrissie

Ah cool. So I presume for starters I presume it doesn't really matter what you try at first because everyone will have different tastes. Thanks for your help :)

Yes everyone has different tastes in e-liquid :) The little ciggie lookalikes aren't ideal for long term use, but that little rechargeable kit is such a good price for a "try me" e-cig. If you decide you like vaping, you haven't wasted your money as it will come in handy as a spare.
