Must admit the women I spoke to in returns didn't fill me with that much confidence... spoke to someone earlier in the day who admitted they did have a batch problem the the atomisers!!!!!!!

The view was that is the battery is lighting up then it should be OK, so we will try the atomisers 1st and see..... not the best approach cos you got to keep sending them back... must admit from my limited knowledge (1st time use and 1st Product) that if the vapour is getting very thin after a couple of draws then the atomiser isn't heating enboug to create the vapour! Any thoughts on that?

yeah i can understand your way of thinking, but you mentioned that the light goes out as you take a drag. if the light goes out while you are in the process of taking a drag then that would suggest to me that its the switch at fault.
in the review i done about a 9 second drag, directly to the lungs. try a drag like that and keep your eye on the led. if it goes off, then i reckon its the switch. if it stays on but produces little vapour then i would say its the atomiser.

Thanks for the response.... we both seem to have a logical thought process here :).... have sent the atomisers off to be replaced so cant do anything till they get back... will be peed if it is the switch in the battery cos that would be more time away and more cost to return.... will keep you posted...... from your experience the 510 is the performer though is it against others?

well ive only had the new model for about 7 days now and all i can say is that it is performing extremely well so far. if it stays at this performance over a longer period of time then i think its going to be the one to beat.

i guess i can only judge it on my experience of it so far...........which has been great!

Scott, how are you finding the taste/nic delivery compared to the EVO ?

I was using 24mg Hilton and Mbro from TW in the EVO, and going at it constantly without any issues. and with the TITAN I was feeling like I had 36mg in there (spaced out and quite harsh taste)

I have cut the 24mg Hilton with Boots Glycerin (2parts Hilton 1part Glycerin) and it's now super smooth and even MORE vapour than before.

Hi Val,

I Have The Same Leaky Cart Issue With My Brand New Dura-C Today!!!

But I found (1) Of My Old Original Dura Carts (last one), It Fits Tight, But Does Not Leak Yet (3 Hours +).

If Anyone Has Any of The Original Dura Carts They Ought To Try It! ;)

Hope That Helps!

Lovin My Dura-C!
:D

Here is what i came up with after switching around atomizer and cartridges
I have a brand new two hole atomizer ( there is no sealed holes) I used empty cartridge Jeff from Janty said will not leak. This combination finally gave me satisfying result .

ive not used the evo for a while but i have used my rn4081 to compare. the only difference i have found is the amount of vapour produced. cant honestly say that the taste/nic is any better in either device. titan wins on vapour and throat hit though!

Ecosnige,

I've been having that really bad "plasticy" taste/smell too. I've had about 7 different atomizers over the last few weeks, some with the 4 holes and some with just the 2 holes. All the atomizers perform slightly differently. Some get scalding hot while others just hot. It's mainly the scalding ones that give me the bad taste/smell, sometimes even after a couple of drags, with a full cart. I can't totally figure out what the exact cause is, but on some, the end of the plastic cart has melted, which is obviously not good. Even when the cart hasn't melted, I will often get the plasticy taste/smell, and wonder if the hot cart is giving off fumes. I'm not sure. As soon as I get the bad taste/smell, if I pull the cart off and take a drag straight from the atomizer (not always a good idea as it's pretty hot!) then the plastic taste/smell isn't there, which makes me think it has got something to do with the carts.

It is a fantastic ecig though. It has its issues, but when it works well, it's the closest I've found so far to the perfect ecig. I've tried alot of the popular ecigs over the last few months, but this one has enabled me to give up analogues completely for the past 3 weeks.

Igetcha, I really love all your reviews mate. I always look forward to seeing the latest ones you do. Keep up the good work mate! :)

No, I'm not happy to drag away on it smelling/tasting like that. It isn't good and I do share your concerns. I've got atomizers that seem to be ok so I just use them instead. I think it's a bit of a lucky dip as to what you get to be honest, but I have to say TECC are brilliant when it comes to replacing faulty ones. I've had a few now that have died completely and TECC always honour their warranty. After being involved with ecigs for the past few months, I've come to learn that these things are never perfect, and as long as the suppliers honour their warranties, then I'm happy with that for now. I hope you manage to get it sorted mate.

its very good news to hear that a company doesnt give a customer any hassle when there is a problem. but really the manufacturers need to pull their fingers out with regards to quality control before shipping out to the suppliers.

Totally agreed mate. The Manufacturers do need to pull their fingers out. Quality control doesn't seem to be what it was a few months ago even. I'm guessing the current demand for these things might have made them rush a few things out a bit too quickly.
