is the dura c (from ivapour.co.uk) the same as the Titan but with a manual battery ?

What is the benefit of a manual battery ?

hi mate,

yes, i "think" the dura and TITAN are the same model (joye510). some time in the future the TITAN will be sold with one normal battery and one manual battery (i read it on a forum post by jason cropper who owns TECC and TW)

the manual battery is used to give the user control of the switch that heats the atomiser. with a normal battery the switch is activated when you take a drag and will remain on until the user finishes the drag. with a manual battery the user presses and holds a button wich activates the atomiser. it can be held down for as long as you want (i think) and gives the user complete control.
ive not used a manual switch myself, but i know a lot of guys on this forum who love them!

Very nice work igetcha. New style is a nice touch.

I am very interested to see how the new models perform under extended use.

When you say the atomizer gets warm, how long are your vaping 'sessions' on the 510 (Titan)? Also, are you planning to continue to use the 510 as your main vaporizer? Thanks mate. Cheers.

Hi Scott.... as a complete newbie to e cigs and having chosen the titan as my 1st venture into this will look forward to your review when I get a change to view it (can't do you tube in the office :-(, do you know when the new batch came into play? I got mine delivered about a week ago but noticed on the web site that they had stopped taking orders just after mine was delivered while they were waiting a 'new delivery', was this one the new improved version. Look forward to your response.

I have Just been to collect mine from TECC/TWkd.

I opted for the PCC kit with an atomiser and a battery as extras.

So far so good, one battery was fully charged so was able to use it in the drive home, and WOW !! It really puts out the vapour !! Really easy draw too, easier than the EVO I'm used to.

And can draw quite hard with no leak into the mouth at all. (and it seems for as long as you like, or longer than I can manage anyway)

I picked up some 24mg Hilton while I was there, and have been using it all the way home and my head is spnning :) great stuff.

Great review !! I just ordered from them box of empty cartridges and one atomizer. Hopefully my two month of going bananas with leaking cartridges will end. I had Dura which was swapped for Dura C , I bought empty cartridges I was told will not leak they do leak ( see pictures , after 10 min left alone ) I will not give up , I will make it work because Dura-Joye510-Titan is the best in my opinion !

hi mate,

on my original titan the atomiser would get scalding hot after just a few drags. the new one definitely stays cooler for longer periods of vaping. it does still get hot with heavy use, but no way near to the extremes of the original. the original was hotter than the sun!

i will definitely be using the 510 as my main "vaporiser" for at least a month as i really want to see how long its going to last. plus, combined with the pcc its extremely handy for my working enviroment (when i can work!)

im looking forward to your review on the new model mate. it will be interesting to see if we have the same opinion on it!

i think you might have one of the old batch by the sounds of it. have a look at the atomiser, the new ones seem to have just 2 holes where as the old ones had 4 holes with glue in 2 of the holes. take a look and let me know mate.

Good call.... you're spot on 4 holes with 2 covered.... whats are the main differences between the 2 models... obviously guessing the new version is better :p..... only had it a week but have noticed even with a new cart etc doesn't have the same puff after a couple of puffs on it

Have sent an email to ECC to ask them.... will see what they come back with... would hope a swap out to the new one FOC ...

hi mate,

the main difference apart from the atomiser, is the battery. the old ones had faulty switches that would not let you take a decent drag.

how long a drag can you take before the led light goes out?

Hi Val,

I Have The Same Leaky Cart Issue With My Brand New Dura-C Today!!!

But I found (1) Of My Old Original Dura Carts (last one), It Fits Tight, But Does Not Leak Yet (3 Hours +).

If Anyone Has Any of The Original Dura Carts They Ought To Try It! ;)

Hope That Helps!

Lovin My Dura-C!

Light goes out after a couple of seconds I would say, the main problem seems to be that a new battery and cartridge 1st few drags are ok, nice hit good vapour but then it drops after that... seem to have to work very hard to get anything decent... then you try a new cart and battery and the same thing... ok for a few drags then a complete drops off

Just as an update, just spoken to the TECC and they admit that the old batch did have some problems.... just waiting for their return lady to get in to find out what I need to send back!.... so I guess back to the old fashioned way of smoking till they sort that out :p

its good to hear that they will be sorting it out for you though mate. let us know how the replacement fairs.

Latest update after speaking to the returns department is that they think my batteries would have been of the new type!!! so to just return the atomisers and see if that solves the problem!!! will have to wait and see..

hmmmmmmmm, im a little dubious on that. the old atomisers worked fine, just got very hot. its the switch in the battery that in my opinion was the main problem with the old batch.

im not an expert, so i may be wrong!

i hope it does sort out the problem for you mate.

keep us updated

Just a bit of an update after 24 hours use.

The atomiser doesn't seem to get hot at all (warm but not hot as in scotts vid)

I have had a couple of minor leaks at the atomiser/cart join but reckon that's me overfilling as it doesn't happen with the prefilled carts.

(same at the mouthpiece, occasionally get a small drop but prob me overfilling again)

As for vapour, loads and loads !! In fact I think the 24mg juice I was using in my EVO is too strong for me in the TITAN ??

I have just been to Boots Pharmacy to get some Glycerin to cut my juice with as I was feeling a bit spaced out. (it's with the cough syrup if you can't find it, I looked all over for it !)

I hope that calms down the kick a bit ?

i found that filling the carts is a slightly different learning curve with the titan. i fill the cart 3/4 full, then put in the wool and push it down. leave to soak for a minute and then with tweezers, slowly bring the wool back up to the surface. then add just 2 more drops. let soak for another minute and then you are good to go.

the times when i filled it higher than 3/4 full was the times when i got a bit of juice in my mouth! not had any juice leak from the bottom of the carts though.
